Showcasing the 2024-2026 In Colors for the June Pals’ Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is the new 2024 – 2026 In Colors. We hope to inspire you with our creations today! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you.”hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I decided to create cards showcasing all the In Colors. Here are my cards:

I’ve lost my mojo for a few weeks now, so I used four of the sketches on page 22 of the 2024 – 2025 annual catalog for my cards. Once I picked out each sketch, the only decisions I had to make were regarding the colors and papers I would use. If you’ve lost your mojo, starting with these sketches might help you as well.

Here’s the sketches:

I used sketches 1, 2, 3, and 7 along the top row for today’s cards. I’ve already posted a card using the sketch #9, and you can find that post here.

How Does Your Garden Grow for the April Pals’ Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is See How My Garden Grows. We hope to inspire you with our creations today! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Here’s my never-ending card using the Fresh as a Daisy 12 x 12 inch DSP (designer series paper). This paper will be retiring soon and I hope it’s on your next order. The paper is stunning! You can see other posts using this paper here, and here, and this post has 3 cards showcasing this DSP.

Here’s my card:

Here’s a video for making this super-simple card. Truly, if you can score and trim paper, you can make this card.

I’ve made never-ending cards before, but needed directions for one larger than 4-1/4 by 5-1/2 inches for the finished product. I found this video by Karen Titus for a 6 x 6 inch version. In the past 4 or 5 days, I’ve made three of these cards. They are so much fun, much easier than they look, and the recipients will be amazed. Granted, a 6 x 6 inch card requires extra postage, but I think it’s well-worth the extra stamp.

Of course, since this is a fun fold, I will be entering it in the Creative Creases Challenge!

Measurements:

  • There are two bases, each measure 6 x 6 inches.
  • If you are using a DSP pattern with a direction, you need a total of 6 horizontal and 6 vertical pieces. Each piece measures 1-3/8 by 2-7/8 inches.
  • Four of my DSP pieces are from a coordinating DSP, 2 are horizontal and 2 are vertical. pieces.
  • There are 6 pieces of 2-7/8 by 2-7/8 inches. Four of these are cows, 2 of these are flowers. I used the large square die from the Stylish Shapes die set for my center pieces.
  • If you use DSP for the corner pieces, you need 8 measuring 1-3/8 x 1-3/8 inches. I used the smallest Stylish Shapes square die for my corner pieces.

Stamping, Trimming, and Assembly:

  • Trying to explain how to put this card together in writing would be incredibly long. Please see Karen Titus’ video tutorial or the video I uploaded to YouTube. .

Pals’ March Blog Hop is All about the Kids!

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is “It’s All About the Kids.” We hope that you will be inspired by the creations the Pals are sharing with you! Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I used the Just Kiddin’ 12 x 12 DSP (designer series paper) in the current mini-catalog for both of these cards. I only had a share of the DSP and didn’t get the bundle. After creating both of these, I’ve added the bundle and DSP to my next order.

Here are my two kids cards:

One of my very favorite pictures of my daughter when she was 4 and she has the same puffing face and crossed arms in the photo. I sent her a picture of the card and asked her why I chose these characters, and she knew exactly what I meant. I smiled the whole time I was making the card, including fussy cutting both characters.

Measurements:

  • The Berry Burst bases each measure 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 to make tent cards.
  • The HIP HIP card has a black mat measuring 5-3/8 by 4-1/8 inches.
  • The DSP for this card measures 4 by 5-1/4 inches.
  • Since I didn’t use a mat for the second card, the DSP measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches.
  • I trimmed a piece of coordinating DSP to 6 inches by 2-1/2 inches for each envelope flap. I also punched a 1-inch circle out of DSP and ran it through my XYRON create-a-sticker for the envelope seal.
  • The white cardstock for the inside of each card measures 4 by 5-1/4 inches.

Assembly:

  • Unless otherwise noted, I used liquid glue to adhere the pieces of the card together.
  • Adhere the DSP to the cardstock base.
  • After fussy-cutting the kids, add dimensionals to the back and adhere to the DSP.
  • Stamp your sentiments and crop using a banner die from. Stylish Shapes die set.
  • I used a marker to outline the edges of each banner.
  • Add dimensionals to the back of the banner and adhere to the DSP.
  • For the inside, I stamped the sentiments and then adhered the white cardstock to the base of the card.
  • With that, I’d finished these coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal sets.

Love is in the Air for the February Pals’ Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is “Love is in the Air”. We hope that you will be inspired by the creations the Pals are sharing with you! Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “:hop” along to Pal to Pal.

Here’s my Love is In the Air card:

This is the card I made for my husband for Valentine’s Day today, More than once, my husband has taken a Valentine’s Day card off my desk and has given it to me, which means he didn’t get a card. This year, I made two extra cards and this one is put away.

I used the Bee Mine bundle for this card, and it’s such a fun bundle. The colors are Daffodil Delight, Sweet Sorbet, Basic White, and Basic Black. So cute!

Measurements:

  • The Sweet Sorbet base measures 8-1/2 by 5-1/2, scored at 4-1/4 inches.
  • The white cardstock bottom layer on the outside measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches.
  • The white cardstock on the inside measures 4 by 5-1/4 inches, as did the top white cardstock layer on the outside.
  • The black cardstock layer measured 4 by 5-1/4 inches.
  • I used scraps for the sentiment, bumblebee, and the dotted flight piece, which is fussy-cut.
  • Punch a 1-inch circle out of Bee Mine DSP (designer series paper) and run through your XYRON create-a-sticker for the envelope seal.

Stamping, Cropping, & Assembly:

  • Using the Scalloped Contour dies, I cropped the black and white layers for the front of the card.
  • Used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere the white and black layers to the base of the card.
  • Using the beehive stamp, randomly stamp on the cropped white cardstock using Daffodil Delight ink. Do the same to the envelope flap and white cardstock for the inside of the card.
  • Using the heart trio stamp, randomly stamp hearts using Sweet Sorbet ink. Do the same on the envelope flap and the white cardstock on the inside of the card..
  • Stamp the body of the bee in black ink on a scrap piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock.
  • Punch out the body of the bee.
  • Stamp the wings and antennae in black ink on a scrap of white cardstock and punch them out.
  • Use liquid glue to adhere the wings and antennae to the back of the body of the bee.
  • Stamp the dotted flight lines in black and fussy cut it out.
  • Add dimesionals to the back of the bee. Cut mini-dimensionals in half to adhere to the back of the dotted flight line. Adhere both to the card.
  • Adhere the white scalloped cardstock to the black using liquid glue.
  • Wipe down a scrap of Sweet Sorbet cardstock using an embossing buddy.
  • Stamp the sentiment using VersaMark ink and cover it with white embossing powder and heat set.
  • Punch the sentiment using the scalloped oval punch, add dimensionals to the back of the sentiment and adhere to the card.
  • Stamp the sentiment in black ink on the inside piece of white cardstock and adhere to the base.
  • Finally, tie a double bow using black bakers’ twine and adhere with a glue dot.
  • With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.

Celebrating Sale-a-Bration for the January, 2024 Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is Sale-A-Bration. We hope that you will be inspired by the creations the Pals are sharing with you! Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I used the Sale-a-Bration Jungle Pals stamp set (FREE with a $50 purchase), and the coordinating die set (FREE with a $100 purchase).

Here’s my card!

Personally, I think sloths are adorable! I sort of CASe’d the Sale-a-bration catalog, but added some personal touches. Here’s a close up of the stamp and die set:

Here’s the catalog page:

Measurements:

  • The Azure Afternoon base measures 8-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches.
  • The frame on the front of the card measures 4-1/4 by 5-3/8 inches, trimmed after I ran it through Cut & Emboss machine using one of the Basics Embossing folders. I used a deckled rectangle die to crop the frame.
  • I used three pieces of white cardstock for this card. The colored one under the frame and the one on the back of the front of the card each measure 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches. The one on the back of the base of the card is 4 by 5-1/4 inches.
  • I used “scraps” for the Pecan Pie tree, the Garden Green and Granny Apple Green leaves and vines. The sloths and the sentiment were stamped on white cardstock using Momento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The DSP (designer series paper) for the envelope flap measures 2-1/2 by 6 inches. I cropped a 1 inch circle of coordinating DSP for the envelope seal, which I ran through the XYRON create-a-sticker.

Stamping, Coloring, Assembly:

  • After stamping the sloths, I used the Smoky Slate blends combo to color the sloths, then I cropped them using the coordinating dies. I added dimensionals to the back of the sloths.
  • I used a blending brush and Azure Afternoon ink to color the white cardstock for the front of the card.
  • The sentiment on the front is from the Charming Sentiments stamp set, which is cropped using the coordinating Sentiment Silhouettes die. I trimmed mini-dimensionals in half before adding them to the back of the sentiment.
  • Next, I cropped the vines, leaves, and Pecan Pie tree, all of which are adhered using multipurpose liquid glue.
  • I added a white piece of cardstock to the inside of the front of the card to cover some errant smudges from using the blending brushes.
  • I haven’t stamped an inside sentiment yet. The outside sentiment is an all-occasion sentiment, so when I get ready to use the card, I will stamp a sentiment.
  • With that I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.

Winter Meadow for the December Pals’ Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

Happy Holidays! This month, the theme is Winter Wonderland. We hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Here’s my Winter Meadow fun fold card:

This fun fold simply requires you to be able to trim and score paper. That’s it. Trim, score, stamp, embellish, done. I’ve posted another card using this fold and you can find that here

Of course, since it’s a fun fold, I must enter it in the Creative Creases challenge.

I added embossing to the three parts of this challenge, as well as creating a fun fold card, thanks to the tutorial by Susan Campfield. The possibilities are endless for the way this card can be created, and you can find Susan’s video here. I followed Susan’s measurements and directions for creating this card,

Measurements:

  • I used Garden Green cardstock with Winter Meadow DSP and white cardstock.
  • The Garden Green cardstock pieces each measure 5-1/2 by 2-1/8 inches, and I used two of them.
  • The white cardstock for the inside measures 11 by 4-1/2 inches, scored in half at 5-1/2 inches .Score again at 2-3/4 inches from either end.
  • The two Winter Meadow DSP pieces for the front and back measure 5-1/2 by 3-1/4 inches.
  • Each DSP piece for the inside folds measures 2-5/8 inches by 4-5/8 inches.
  • Trim a piece of coordinating DSP to 2-1/2 by 6 inches for the envelope flap.
  • Punch a 1-inch circle of DSP for the envelope seal. Run it through the XYRON create-a-sticker to finish the seal.
  • I cropped a square of vellum cardstock using the largest Stylish Shapes square die.
  • That’s it for the measurements. Next, let’s put the card together.

Stamping, Embossing, Stenciling, and Assembly:

  • After running my Garden Green cardstock through the Ferns 3D embossing folder, I trimmed each piece to 5-1/2 by 2-1/8 inches
  • Adhere the piece of the DSP you cut for the front to the embossed Garden Green cardstock. There will be a small overlap of the papers.
  • Outline the two pieces of DSP for the inside using the Blueberry Bushel Stamping Write Marker.
  • Stamp your chosen sentiments on two panels of the inside “squeeze box” piece of white cardstock. I stamped my sentiments on the front an inside using Pebbled Path ink since it’s one of the colors in this DSP.
  • Adhere your outlined DSP pieces to two of the “squeeze box” panels.
  • Add Garden Green ribbon where the cardstock and DSP overlap for the front. Tie it in a bow or a square knot.
  • Line up the inside white cardstock panels with each of the two pieces of the front and back pieces using multipurpose liquid glue.

Finishing Up:

  • After stamping the front sentiment using the Winter Meadow stamp set, I cropped it using the label die from the Brightest Glow die set.
  • Then, I used the Blueberry Bushel Stamping Write Marker to outline the label.
  • I used Stamping Write Markers in Garden Green, Blueberry Bushel, Lost Lagoon, and Pebbled Path to color the stamps. For the leaf sprays, I first colored the stems using Pebbled Path. Then I colored the leaves in Garden Green and stamped them down.
  • I followed the same procedure for the blueberry trio and the center spray.
  • After dry-fitting the pieces on the front, I figured out where I could put liquid glue on the back of the vellum so it wouldn’t show.
  • I used liquid glue for the three back sprays.
  • I added dimensionals to the sentiment banner and adhered it to the front.
  • Then, I added dimensionals to the blueberry trio and adhered it behind the sentiment.
  • I decided that the inside DSP panels needed something, so I cropped the leaf sprays from Garden Green cardstock using the Winter Meadow die set.
  • The Blueberry Bushel berries come from another die in the Winter Meadow die set. Those things are tiny! I found the easiest way for me to adhere them was to add tiny dots of liquid glue to each of the berry pieces on the leaf sprays. Don’t try to pick up those tiny berries with your fingers. I used my reverse craft tweezers to pick them up and place them on the leaf sprays.
  • With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal.

Now it’s your turn:

I really hope you watch Susan Campfield’s video or just use my measurements and directions to create your own squeeze box fun fold card. Don’t forget to upload your project to the Creative Creases challenge site.
