I have 3 balloons, 2 flowers, and one dinosaur. Here’s their challenge banner:
As I have done many times in the pas with fun folds, the fourth challenge is Creative Creases # 101
Isn’t it fabulous when the challenges all work together? Love it!
Measurements for This Z-Fold Card:
The Garden Green base measures 8-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches, scored at 2-1/8 and 4-1/4 inches
Trim a piece of Balmy Blue 6 x 6 inch DSP (designer series paper) to 5-3/8 by 2 inches for the front flap
Trim another piece of Balmy Blue DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap
At this point, I try to remember to punch a 1-inch circle of coordinating DSP for the envelope seal, then run it through my XYRON create-a-sticker
Trim a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock for the inside to 5-3/8 by 4-1/8 inches
You will need two pieces of Garden Green cardstock, each measuring 3-1/2 by 4-3/4 inches to use one on the outside and one on the inside
Next, trim two pieces of white cardstock to 3-3/8 inches by 4 inches
With careful planning, I was able to stamp all the pieces from the Darling Dino stamp set using one piece of white cardstock measuring 4-1/4 by 5-1/2 inches
I had scraps of Garden Green to use for the grass and Balmy Blue for the sentiment banner on the front
Stamping, Coloring, and Die-Cutting:
Using the cloud stamp from the Playing in the Rain stamp set, I added Balmy Blue clouds to the white cardstock for both the inside and outside of the card
Then, I used a blending brush and lightly added Balmy Blue ink to both pieces of white cardstock
The color is very subtle, but the result turned out much better than just using white
After stamping all the Darling Dino pieces using Momento Tuxedo Black ink, I cropped them with the coordinating dies
Do you recognize the Garden Green grass on the front of the card? If you guessed it’s from the Frozen Edges die set, good for you!
Using the grass stamp from the Dinos set, I stamped it using Garden Green ink on the front of the die cut grass piece
I used the splotchy stamp from the Dinos set and stamped it using Garden Green ink on white cardstock, then cropped the two pieces of the egg
I outlined the egg using a black Stamping Write maker so it would pop off the background
Next, I used black ink to stamp both the outside and inside sentiments
The sentiment I used for the inside is actually two stamps: Roar means/in dinosaur is the first stamp and You’re the Best is the second
You can see how I used these sentiments using other combinations here and here
I colored all the Darling Dino pieces using the Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, and Garden Green blends combos
Assembly:
Unless otherwise noted, I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere the pieces of the card together
After adhering the white cardstock pieces to each Garden Green piece of cardstock, I started layering all the other pieces
I started with the grass, then tucked the flowers in behind it
I did need to dry-fit the rest of the card pieces together before adhering them down
Once I figured out where the balloons would live, I drew black lines for the string down to the dino going down into the where the egg would be
The Garden Green balloon and the Granny Apple green balloon were adhered directly to the cardstock
Add a dimensional to the Balmy Blue balloon and adhere to the white cardstock
Adhere the splotched egg to the dinosaur, then add dimensionals to the combined pieces and adhere to the white cardstock
Add dimensionals to the cropped sentiment banner and add to the top of the white cardstock
I had the rock stamp already cropped out and decided to add another flower and the top of the egg to the inside corner of the white cardstock
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.

This month’s theme is “Birthday Celebrations.” The Pals hope to inspire you with card ideas and paper craft creations using Stampin’ Up! products. Links to the participant’s blogs can be found at the end of each post to help you “hop” along!
Here’s my Darling Dinos Birthday Card:
I’m also going to be uploading this card into the current Creative Creases #101, where anything goes with a fun fold!
I used Gray Granite, Pool Party, and Lost Lagoon colors for this Dino card. The Gray Granite mats actually come from the Otterly Adorable DSP! The Riverside Irregular Pearls fit perfectly in the corner of each layer. This card was so much fun to create!
I found these directions on Pinterest, and it comes from Stamp with Deb. I used her project sheet, instead of the YouTube video, mainly because I could just work from her project sheet easier than the video.
Measurements:
Instead of listing all the measurements, I thought it might be easier to show pictures of my template:
Once I had all the pieces trimmed, the rest of the card fell into place easily! I’m very glad that I thought ahead regarding the template so I can add it to my template/fun fold mini-binder so I can easily make another card.
Stamping, Coloring, & Assembly:
All the images which needed to be colored are stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black ink
I used pretty Peacock ink to stamp the front, middle and the middle section of the back sentiment
The sentiment on the back panel is a perfectly wonderful combination of two stamps: the Gray Granite part is all on one stamp and leaves a blank space for the inside sentiment, which I stamped in Pretty Peacock
I used the Pool Party and Gray Granite blends combos to color all the Darling Dinos
By adding layers of color with either the light or dark blends, I was able to achieve the varing colors
I stamped the egg pieces in Gray Granite using the splotch stamp included in the set
Crop all the pieces using the Darling Dino die set
Because of the bulk of all the paper layers, I only used my favorite adhesive, multipurpose liquid glue

Here’s my Otterly Amazing fun fold card:
I was looking for an easy fun fold for this month that would have a big WOW factor. I found this post on Pinterest and knew it would be fabulous with the Otterly Adorable Suite of products! The card was made by Karen G. and posted on LeeAnn Greff’s blog, Flowerbug’s Inkspot. The card was amazingly simple, especially since the Otterly Amazing die set crops out the otters from the DSP (designer series paper). I made some minor adjustments, and you can click on the link for LeeAnn Greff’s blog for the original card and measurements.
Measurements:
The Pretty Peacock base measures 7-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches
The DSP for the front measures 3 by 5-3/8 inches
The inside DSP measures 1 by 5-3/8 inches
I also trimmed a piece of the DSP to 2-1/2 by 6 inches for the envelope flap, which gets trimmed after adhering it
Next I punched a 1-inch circle from the Balmy Blue DSP that I used on the tag for the envelope seal, which I ran through my XYRON create-a-sticker
The flap piece measures 3 x 1 inch, scored at 1/2 inch
Trim a piece of white cardstock to 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches
I used scraps of Pretty Peacock, Lost Lagoon, and Old Olive cardstock for the plants and sentiment tag
Cropping, Tracing, and Stamping:
Unless otherwise noted, I used multipurpose liquid glue to attach all the pieces together
Crop the otters from the DSP using the Otterly Amazing dies
Crop the tag from Pretty Peacock cardstock using the large tag die from the Greetings of the Season die set
Pictures are worth 1,000 words, so I am sharing what I did to get the DSP layer for the tag:
Use the inside edges of the tag die to trace your pattern
After tracing the inside edges, fussy cut the tag
Adhere DSP layer to the tag and punch a hole lining up with the hole in the cardstock and then admire your skill
Crop the plants from the three colors of cardstock and use the coordinating marker to add the stem and leaf lines
Adding the lines on the plants is optional, I just thought it added dimension
Adhere the otters and plants to the tag
Add Lost Lagoon soft cording to the tag
Wipe down a piece of scrap Lost Lagoon with an embossing buddy
Stamp the outside sentiment in VersaMark and Pretty Peacock ink, cover with clear embossing powder, and heat set
HINT: To stamp and emboss in color, first stamp the sentiment in VersaMark ink and, without stamping off, load the sentiment with Pretty Peacock ink
Stamp the sentiment and quickly add clear embossing powder
Stamp the inside sentiment on the white piece of cardstock using Pretty Peacock ink
Assembly:
Adhere the scored 1/2 inch part of the flap to the inside of the card
Adhere the tag to the other end of the flap
After adhering the white cardstock, adhere the DSP strip to the inside
Adhere the front DSP to the base of the card
Add mini-dimensionals to the right side of the sentiment and use liquid glue to adhere the part that overlaps the tag
I added one of the Lost Lagoon riverside irregular pearls (from the product suite) to cover the hole in the sentiment tag
Then, I added two more pearls to the corners of the inside strip of DSP
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal
Back to the SU! Demo Fun Fold Blog Hop:
We all hope you will follow the links below and hop along with us. There’s so much inspiration to be found here. We’d love to see what inspires you to create a fun fold as well. Don’t forget to upload it to the Creative Creases challenge!
Welcome back to the bi-weekly Cardz 4 Galz # 242! Our host, __, chose Anything But a Square for the theme. We look forward to seeing your creations there!
I’ve made so many of these cards, and you can find some of them here, here, and here. The 6 x 6 DSP (designer series paper) is just made for this fun fold.. Start with the 6 x 6 inch DSP, trim off 1/4 inch from the top, or bottom. Then, trim the the DSP down to two 3 by 5-1/4 inches.
I have no earthly idea why I didn’t save the tutorial video for this card, but I have searched my Pinterest and saved video tutorials on YouTube for more than 30 minutes and can’t find it. If you recognize the fold, please let me know so I can give credit to the original designer. I will be using this fold for many 6 x 6 inch DSP pages! The paper absolutely does all the work here!
Here are some pictures of the template I’ve made for this fun fold card:
The two DSP pieces measure 5-1/4 by 3 inches
The Crushed Curry mats each measure 5-3/8 by 3-1/8 inches
After running a piece of Crushed Curry through the Cut & Emboss machine an embossing folder, I trimmed it to 1-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches for the strip next to the front DSP
I trimmed a piece of DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap
Then, i punched a 1-inch circle out of coordinating DSP and ran it through the XYRON create-a-sticker to create the envelope seal
Welcome to the Cardz 4 Guyz #364 challenge! Deb H., our host this challenge chose Lighthouses for the theme. When you finish here, please visit the challenge site to see what the rest of the very talented design team members created. Then, don’t forget to upload your creations to our gallery. We look forward to seeing your creations there!
I haven’t made a side-step card in a while, so I went back to a Connie Stewart video for one of her Simple Stamping videos. Whenever I need a quick card and want to try a new fun fold, I know I can find something on Connie’s YouTube channel.
I used the retired Smooth Sailing stamp set and coordinating die set for my card. The Boho Blue DSP (designer series paper) is from the Cheerful Daisy paper set. I love Boho Blue with Copper Clay and am going to miss these colors when they retire with the introduction of the 2025 – 2026 catalog.
The front sentiment is from the Sweetly Scripted stamp set. The back sentiment is from the Special Moments stamp set.
I thought the DSP on the background needed something, so I used the compass rose from the Smooth Sailing stamp set. After rubbing down the DSP with my embossing buddy, I stamped the compass rose with VersaMark ink and covered it with clear embossing powder, which I heat set. I’ll never tire of watching the magic happen when heat setting embossing powder.
The January – April 2025 mini-catalog, the Sale-a-Bration, and the joining promotion all went live on January 7, 2025. Take a peek at some of the new products:
Once again, I am honored to be a guest designer for the Creative Creases Challenge. As always, the theme for the challenge is Anything Goes with a Fun Fold, and if you’ve been following my blog you already know I love finding new fun folds! Here’s the link to the Creative Creases Challenge #96!
For a number of years I’ve been making cards for a colleague/friend at school. This is the Christmas card for his parents, which includes a gift card pocket. His mother’s favorite color is basically any shade of blue, and he requested snowflakes for this year’s card. I was happy to oblige!
Here’s my card:
I used a video tutorial from Creating with Kristina for her W fold card. You can find her video here. It may look complicated, but if you can trim and score paper, this fun fold is for you!
Measurements:
The Night of Navy base measures 8-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches
The Night of Navy inside W fold cardstock measures 5-3/8 by 11 inches
For the Night of Navy on the front, I started with a 5-3/8 by 4 inch piece of cardstock, then cropped it using the Frozen Edges die
HINT: When using this die, you need to trim it to the desired height before you crop it out. Trust me on this.
Score this cardstock piece at 2-3/4, 5-1/2, and 8-1/4 inches, which should fold up into equal quarters
The white cardstock on the front and inside panels all measure 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches
I used two other pieces of white cardstock each measuring 4-1/4 by 5-1/2 inches
Trim a piece of the cardstock to 3-1/4 by 4-1/2 inches for the back sentiment panel
I used dues from the Stylish Shapes die set to crop the front circle, and the two inside sentiments
Stamping & Embossing:
There’s quite a lot of embossing on this card using clear, white, and gold embossing powder
All of the snowflakes come from the One of a Kind photopolymer stamp set
First, I stamped the large snowflake in clear on the white cardstock front panel and heat set it
Here’s a close-up of one of the front snowflakes:
Next, I turned my attention to the inside Night of Navy W folder piece of cardstock
First, I stamped the large snowflakes in VersaMark ink, covered it with clear embossing powder and heat set all of them
Next, I stamped the medium snowflakes in VersaMark ink, covered them all with gold embossing powder, and heat set them
I did the same with the smallest snowflake using white embossing powder and heat set them
All the sentiments come from the Greetings of the Season photopolymer stamp set
The sentiments were stamped on white cardstock using VersaMark ink, covered in gold embossing powder, and heat set
Assembly:
Unless otherwise noted, I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere the pieces of the card together
I don’t have to worry about the card being too bulky or requiring extra postage because it will be hand-delivered and still fits inside a medium envelope
Adhere a piece of ribbon onto the front piece of the Night of Navy cardstock snowflake and adhere it with tear & tape in the back
Adhere the cardstock to the front piece of white embossed cardstock
Add dimensionals to the sentiment circle and adhere
Slide the gold embossed and cropped snowflake under the sentiment circle and adhere
Adhere the two inside white cardstock panels
Add glue to the left quarter of the Night of Navy W fold and adhere to the inside of the base
Add glue to the top, bottom, and left sides of the right quarter of the W fold.
HINT: Do NOT add glue to the whole side of this part of the W fold. You will need to be able slide a gift card in that part of the W fold
Adhere the back sentiment piece
With that, I’d finished this fun fold Christmas card
