Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!
This month, the theme is Random Acts of Kindness. We hope to inspire you with our creations today! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
The Alpine Air kit was in my last order, and I’ve made three cards for this Hop. Each card is just a little bit different than the directions, but the whole kit is gorgeous!
Here are my Random Acts of Kindness cards:
Here are some up-close views of the kit:
The contents:
The Alpine Air Kit has all the pieces you need to create nine all-occasion cards with an elegant mountain theme. My Twists:
- I cut each of the premade cards in half and used cardstock for the base of the cards. This way, I’ll have twice as many backgrounds to make up to 18 cards
- The bases each measure 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches
- I used Stamping Write Markers to outline each of the deckled elements which were included in the original kit
- Since I didn’t want to cover any of the alpine mountains and lake image, I heat embossed the sentiment, from the Iconic Imagery stamp set, in black
- For the inside of this card, I also used one of the Christmas tree stamps from Iconic Imagery stamped in Shaded Spruce
- I like to send my daughter, who lives in Northern California, a variety of sealed cards with varying reasons on the front. For example, “when you need a hug”, “when you need encouragement”, etc. This Grateful card is going to her.
- After stamping the Thinking of You sentiment on one of the included sentiment banners, I cropped a banner in Misty Moonlight using one of the dies from the Stylish Shapes set
You Do You:
No matter the reason, this Alpine Air kit has everything you need to create your own Random Acts of Kindness cards. You don’t need to use your own twists or imagination if you don’t want to do so. That’s the beauty of kits!
