This month the theme is Seasons’ Greetings. This month’s design team members showcase projects inspired by their favorite seasonal time of the year. We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
Here’s my card:
Measurements:
The Night of Navy base measures 8-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches to form a tent fold.
The Balmy Blue mat measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches.
Next, I trimmed a piece of the Gnomes DSP (designer series paper) with the sweater print to 4 by 5-1/4 inches for the background of the front of the card. I also punched a 1-inch circle for the envelope seal.
I used other patterns of the gnomes DSP to crop the gnome and mushroom using the gnomes dies. I fussy cut the fawn, rabbit, bird, and sleeping fox from another patterned gnomes DSP. Then, I trimmed a piece of the animal DSP to 6 inches by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope seal.
I cropped the frame for the card from Night of Navy cardstock using the two largest deckled rectangle dies. The finished size is 4 inches by 5-1/4 inches.
Finally, I trimmed the white cardstock for the inside to 4 by 5-1/4 inches.
What I Did:
For some strange and unknown reason, I have kept my empty Wink of Stella pens. One of them did come in handy for this project. I squirted some clear Wink of Stella on a scrap piece of printer paper. Then, I picked up the liquid glitter with the empty Wink of Stella pen and tapped the pen against the top so I could splatter Wink of Stella on the background DSP. Wink of Stella doesn’t photograph well at all. However, in person, the sparkles definitely show up.
I stamped the sentiment, also from the Kindest Gnomes stamp set, in Night of Navy on white cardstock. Then, I cropped it using the Stylish Shapes dies and put dimensionals underneath it.
I added dimensionals under the frame so it looks like a shadow box. There are also dimensionals under the gnome, fox, and bird. I used multipurpose liquid glue to attach everything else.
I stamped a holiday greeting on the white cardstock and adhered it to the inside of the card.
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
Back to the Pals’ Blog Hop:
More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on September 14th. Our theme will be Focus on the Sentiment, when the design team will showcase a sentiment as the focal point of their project.
Welcome to InKing Royalty’s July Blog Hop! We’ve made projects that celebrate the fun of summer and are excited to share them with you today. We are a diverse group, so I know you’ll see a great variety of summer projects. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Here’s my card:
Explanation Needed:
Since this card doesn’t look like a summertime card, that must mean I need to explain why I created it. When I was younger and still living on Long Island, every year we’d take a vacation to the mountains in New England or upstate New York. This card was inspired by a vacation to the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York. We were staying in cabins and there were always owls we’d hear all night. One of the families in our group was staying in the only house on site. There were always bats in the belfries of the house, but the stamp set doesn’t have any bats. I should’ve checked out the Halloween sets I have for bats, but I just thought of that.
One of the big things to do up there involved going to the “dump” to see the bears. Really, that’s true. When the group of our three families went, a drunk man made his way over to our car. He told my parents that he would go take up-close pictures of the bears for us. My mom gave him the camera, and he got the pictures without getting attacked. Thankfully!!! Therefore, this card really does mean “summer fun” to me.
I’d seen the layout on a past sketch challenge, but don’t remember which one. If you know which challenge, please let me know in the comments and I will update this post.
Measurements:
The Calypso Coral base measures 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 to create a tent card..
I used the Happy Forest DSP (designer series paper) from the Happy Forest Friends suite found on pages 46-47 in the 2022 – 2023 annual catalog. The Old Olive background piece measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches. Then, I punched a 1-inch circle for the envelope seal from the same DSP.
Next, I trimmed the white background DSP to 2-5/8 inches by 4-3/8 inches and cut it down to a chevron shape. I also trimmed a piece to 6 inches by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap.
I matted this on trimmed pieces of the Old Olive and Calypso Coral DSP. Each layer increased by 1/8 inches on each side. I attached all three layers using multipurpose liquid glue.
Finally, I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 4 by 5-1/4 inches for the inside of the card.
Stamping and Die-cutting:
All the stamps and dies for the card come from the Happier than Happy bundle.
I stamped the bear using Soft Suede ink on white cardstock. Then, I used Smoky Slate ink to stamp the owl on the same piece of white cardstock.
I stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede on white cardstock as well.
Using Soft Suede, I stamped the tree on Crumb Cake cardstock.
Then, I used the die set to crop all the pieces I’d stamped. I also cropped the outline of the tree stump from Soft Suede cardstock.
After cropping the sentiment, I outlined it in Calypso Coral. I used a matte dot to cover the hole in the tag and added a folded piece of ribbon underneath it.
I popped all the cropped pieces up on mini-dimensionals and attached them to the card.
Finally, I trimmed the envelope flap and ran the punched envelope seal through my XYRON create-a-sticker. With that, this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal was finished.

WOW! The 300th challenge! I’m honored to be a part of this design team, and this challenge. For #300, Caz, our fearless leader, chose a completely appropriate theme of Congratulations. When you finish here, I hope you visit the Cardz 4 Guyz challenge site to see what the rest of the design team created for this special occasion.
Here’s my card:
This absolutely stinking adorable gnome and mushroom stamps and die come from the Kindest Gnome stamp set and Gnome dies, found in the new July – mini-catalog. There’s a whole suite for these gnomes, and they aren’t just for Christmas.
Here’s a look at the suite as shown in the introduction video from Stampin’ UP!
Cuteness Overload, right? Love!
Measurements and Such:
The Evening Evergreen base measures 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches.
The background DSP measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches. I also trimmed a piece of the coordinating DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap. Using the grassy kind of die from the Gnomes die set, I cropped two grassy pieces using the same DSP as the envelope flap.
I used the second and third largest deckled rectangle dies to crop the Evening Evergreen frame.
Then, I used the second largest die to crop the vellum.
The white panel on the inside measures 4 by 5-1/4 inches.
After stamping the sentiment in Evening Evergreen, I cropped it using the Stylish Shapes dies (an absolute must have, in my opinion). Then, I outlined it using the Evening Evergreen marker.
That’s it for measurements.
Stamping and Coloring:
I stamped both the gnome and the mushroom using Momento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock.
I stamped the gnome on the inside panel of the card and on the front of the envelope flap. All three gnomes were colored the same way.
HINT: If you are going to use blends on the front of an envelope, make sure you put a piece of cardstock or a post-it note inside the envelope. This will prevent any bleeding of the blends from getting on the back of the envelope.
I used the light and dark Mango Melody blends to color the gnome’s sleeves as well as both windows.
Then, I followed the shading on the Gnome DSP to color the mushroom using the dark and light Soft Suede blends. I also colored the soles of the gnome’s shoes in Soft Suede.
Next, I used the Just Jade blends combo for the mushroom cap. I tried to recreate the dots on the DSP using the color lifter blend.
I used the Old Olive blends combo for the pants, and the outside of the hat. I just used the light blend to color the underside of his hat.
My new favorite skin tone is the SU500 marker in the skin tones set. I used it to color the gnome’s hands, nose and face. Then, I used the color lifter blend to just create a little bit of a light spot on his nose.
The Smoky Slate light blend worked for this cute guy’s beard. I didn’t want to color the whole thing, so I just followed the ink lines from the stamp and outlined the edges.
The last things I colored were his mouth and eyes. I also outlined the soles of his shoes and drew in black lines on the soles.
Assembly:
I used multipurpose liquid glue (my favorite adhesive) to adhere the DSP on the outside and the white cardstock panel on the inside
Then, I added a thin line of liquid glue to the underside of the Evening Evergreen frame, which allowed me to adhere the vellum to the back of the frame. Next, I added another thing line of glue to the vellum to adhere the whole frame to the DSP.
I put dimensionals under the sentiment, mushroom, grassy things, and the gnome, which gives the card depth and dimension.
Finally, I trimmed the DSP on the envelope flap and punched a 1 inch circle from the DSP on the front for my envelope seal.
With that, this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set was complete.

Welcome to the newest challenge from Cardz 4 Galz! Dawn is hosting this challenge, #173, and chose the theme of using the sentiment as the focal point. When you finish here, I hope you will hop over to the challenge site to see the cards created by the rest of the design team. I hope you get inspired and play along with our challenge!
Here’s my card:
Amazing!
I used the new gorgeous blue In Color 2022 – 2024 called Starry Sky, and I just love it! The base measures 8-1/2 inches by 5-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches.
I trimmed a piece of the Sun Prints DSP to 6 inches by 2-1/2 inches. for the envelope flap.
Since it’s important to use a 3D embossing folder before trimming the cardstock in order to get an accurate size, I stamped the image first using Starry Sky ink. This gorgeous tree comes from the Amazing Silhouettes cling stamp set.. After embossing it using the bark 3D embossing folder, I trimmed it to 5-1/4 inches by 4 inches.
I embossed another piece of white cardstock using the bark embossing folder. Then, I used the coordinating Amazing Thanks die set. This set includes the words themselves and the matching mats. Staying with my monochromatic color scheme, I cropped the mats from Starry Sky cardstock. After adhering the white and Starry Sky layers, I added mini-dimensionals underneath the matted words. I could’ve used the foam adhesive sheets for the height, but the minis did the trick easily.
While I had the white cardstock out, I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 4 inches by 5-1/4 inches for the inside of the card. I didn’t stamp a sentiment on the inside so this can be an all-occasion card.
Finally, I used a length of the new Starry Sky metallic woven ribbon around the white cardstock and tied it in a bow. In order to keep the bow in place and tied, I added a mini-glue dot beneath the bow.
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card and envelope set.

Welcome to the newest Cardz 4 Galz challenge! For this C4Galz # 172, Claudia chose the theme of food and drinks. I had to return to my tried and true Love You More stamp set and the Picture This die set for this one. Do you know what it means when you only have one stamp set to meet any food and drinks challenge? You guessed it! Time to get more stamps!
When you finish here, I hope you will pop over to the Cardz 4 Galz challenge site to see all the other projects from the rest of the design team members. They are awesome, and I hope they inspire you to play along!
Here’s my Love You More Than card:
Easy Peasy 30 Minutes or Less Card:
The Early Espresso base measures 8-1/2 inches by 5-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches.
There’s only one piece of DSP (designer series paper) in this card and envelope coordinated set, and it’s on the envelope flap. This paper measures 6 inches by 2-1/4 inches.
I used Very Vanilla for the middle layer because I really didn’t think that a chocolate chip cookie would be white. The piece of Very Vanilla cardstock measures 4-1/8 inches by 5-3/8 inches. The Very Vanilla cardstock for the inside of the card measures 4 inches by 5-1/4 inches.
First, I ran a piece of Pool Party cardstock through my cut and embossing machine using the circle Picture This die. Next, I used the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder, then I trimmed the cardstock to 4-1/8 inches by 5-3/8 inches.
Next, I used Early Espresso ink for the sentiment, coffee cup and cookie. I just stamped these inside the cropped out circles.
I did need to do a bit more planning for the candies so I could make sure I had the stamp centered inside the little circle. This is a two stamp process. First, I used Soft Suede ink for the candy. Next, I stamped Early Espresso over the candy pieces for the dark chocolate swirls.
Then, I embossed a scrap of Early Espresso cardstock using the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. Then, I used the Picture This die to cut out the two circles.
Next, I lined up and stamped the inside sentiments in Early Espresso.
I didn’t use any dimensionals for this card. I simply adhered everything using (my fav!) multipurpose liquid adhesive for all the pieces.
With that, I’d completed this coordinated card and envelope set.
