Welcome to the newest Cardz 4 Galz challenge!  For this C4Galz # 172, Claudia chose the theme of food and drinks.  I had to return to my tried and true Love You More stamp set and the Picture This die set for this one.  Do you know what it means when you only have one stamp set to meet any food and drinks challenge?  You guessed it!  Time to get more stamps!

When you finish here, I hope you will pop over to the Cardz 4 Galz challenge site to see all the other projects from the rest of the design team members.  They are awesome, and I hope they inspire you to play along!

Here’s my Love You More Than card:

Easy Peasy 30 Minutes or Less Card:

  • The Early Espresso base measures 8-1/2 inches by 5-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches.
  • There’s only one piece of DSP (designer series paper) in this card and envelope coordinated set, and it’s on the envelope flap. This paper measures 6 inches by 2-1/4 inches.
  • I used Very Vanilla for the middle layer because I really didn’t think that a chocolate chip cookie would be white. The piece of Very Vanilla cardstock measures 4-1/8 inches by 5-3/8 inches. The Very Vanilla cardstock for the inside of the card measures 4 inches by 5-1/4 inches.
  • First, I ran a piece of Pool Party cardstock through my cut and embossing machine using the circle Picture This die. Next, I used the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder, then I trimmed the cardstock to 4-1/8 inches by 5-3/8 inches.
  • Next, I used Early Espresso ink for the sentiment, coffee cup and cookie. I just stamped these inside the cropped out circles.
  • I did need to do a bit more planning for the candies so I could make sure I had the stamp centered inside the little circle. This is a two stamp process. First, I used Soft Suede ink for the candy. Next, I stamped Early Espresso over the candy pieces for the dark chocolate swirls.
  • Then, I embossed a scrap of Early Espresso cardstock using the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. Then, I used the Picture This die to cut out the two circles.
  • Next, I lined up and stamped the inside sentiments in Early Espresso.
  • I didn’t use any dimensionals for this card. I simply adhered everything using (my fav!) multipurpose liquid adhesive for all the pieces.
  • With that, I’d completed this coordinated card and envelope set.
