The Cajun Craze base measures 11 by 4-1/4, scored at 2-3/4 and 5-1/2 inches
AFTER you dry emboss another piece of Cajun Craze, trim it to 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches
HINT: If you trim a piece of cardstock to your desired size before embossing it, especially with a 3D folder, you will wind up with a too small piece of cardstock
The Thoughtful Journeys DSP (designer series paper) cropped with a deckled rectangles die measures
The white cardstock mat, also cropped with a deckled rectangles die measures
I used a scrap of Cajun Craze cardstock for the sentiment on the front
For the inside, crop a piece of white cardstock using the largest deckled rectangle die
Trim a coordinating piece of DSP to 1/2 by 5-1/2 inches for the easel stop, then crop the sides using the largest deckled rectangle die
You will also need a 2-1/2 by 6 inch coordinating DSP for the envelope flap
Punch a 1-inch circle of contrasting DSP for the envelope seal, and run it through the XYRON create-a-sticker
Stamping, Outlining, & Assembly:
Unless otherwise noted, I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere the pieces of this card together
After cropping the two white cardstock pieces, I outlined them with a Calypso Coral marker
I did the same to the DSP piece using a Cajun Craze marker
Adhere the DSP to the white cardstock, then adhere the layers to the left side of the dry embossed Cajun Craze cardstock
Add liquid glue to the bottom half of the front of the card only
Center the embossed piece of cardstock on the base and adhere it to the bottom half of the front of the card.
HINT: if you use liquid glue on the whole front base of the card you won’t be able to make it an easel card
After wiping down the scrap piece of Cajun Craze with your embossing buddy, stamp the sentiment using VersaMark ink
Cover the sentiment using white embossing powder and heat set
Crop the sentiment using a small deckled rectangle die
Trim a piece of the white diagonal ribbon so that you have two pieces about 1-1/2 inches long and adhere them to the back of the sentiment panel
Add dimensionals to the back of the sentiment panel and adhere to the DSP
Stamp the inside sentiment on the cropped white cardstock about halfway down to allow for the easel stop
Adhere the white cardstock to the inside of the card
Add dimensionals to the strip of DSP for the easel stop and adhere it to the white cardstock
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set
I’m always excited for the mini catty releases because of the holiday products.
Since I am on the design team for a sister challenge, the monthly Sparkles Christmas Challenge, I already have some of the cards I will need. However, I heard new holiday products calling my name and couldn’t resist!
While you can click on the link above, here’s a listing of the new products as well. Please click on the individual pictures to see the products in a larger size picture.
If you live in the U.S. and don’t already have a Stampin’ UP! demo from whom you order, I would be honored to work with you.

We look forward to seeing your creations there!
Here’s my Nautical card:
As always, since this is a fun fold, I will be uploading it to the gallery in the Creative Creases Challenge.
Sometimes we all need a little bit, or a lot, of inspiration. When that happens, I turn to Pinterest, as I am sure so many of you do. I found Carole’s Creative Corner and the directions for this double z-fold card and CASe’d (copy and share, everything/edit it using DSP (designer series paper) and the Sailing Home stamp set with the coordinated Sailing Away die set:
Carole used the long retired DSP that accompanied the retired bundle. I used some retired Gone Fishing DSP because I love the colors and patterns.
Measurements:
The Night of Navy base measures 4-1/4 by 11 inches, scored at 2-3/4 and 5-1/2 inches
Trim another piece of Night of Navy cardstock to 3 by 10 inches, scored at 2-1/2 and 5 inches
The front DSP measures 2-5/8 by 4-1/8 inches
Trim a piece of the same DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap
The Crumb Cake DSP measures 4-7/8 by 2-7/8 inches
Punch a 1-inch circle from the Crumb Cake DSP and run it through your XYRON create-a-sticker for the envelope sea
You need a piece of white cardstock trimmed to 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches for the inside background
The two squares of white cardstock for the smaller piece of Night of Navy measure 2-7/8 by 2-7/8 inches
I did have scraps for the lighthouse, sentiment label, and the ship wheel
Stamping & Assembly:
I only used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere the pieces together because the card is already a little bulky and I didn’t want to need extra postage
Stamp the lighthouse using Night of Navy ink on white cardstock
Stamp the boat and the birds using Night of Navy on one of the squares of white cardstock
Stamp the sentiment from the Charming Sentiments stamp set on white cardstock with Night of Navy ink
Crop the lighthouse, ship’s wheel, and the sentiment label using dies from the Sailing Away die set
Punch a 2-1/2 inch circle from Night of Navy cardstock
Adhere your pieces together, starting with the DSP and white cardstock on the base.
Adhere the pieces to the smaller z-fold piece of Night of Navy cardstock, then adhere to your card base
I had some Crumb Cake/Navy baker’s twine but it was too thick for what I wanted so I pulled 3 pieces of the twine out and used what was left on the ship’s wheel
Adhere the baker’s twine using a mini-glue dot
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set
I’ve been using the By Your Side kit to create a number of cards. You can see one of the cards here, and there will be more coming on September 11, 2024 for the Pals’ Blog Hop.
Here’s the unboxing video for the absolutely adorable By Your Side kit:

My DH and I live on a small lake in Central Florida. We enjoy some pretty spectacular sunsets, and while these colors show up in the sky together all the time, my card doesn’t begin to do the sunsets justice.
Here’s my water-colored sunset card:
I was going to use a piece of the Thoughtful Memories DSP (designer series paper) but spilled water all over my desk and the only piece of the DSP I had got very wet. This DSP is stunningly gorgeous, and you can see it here:
Here’s a close-up of the DSP I wanted to use:
Until the end of this month, August, 2024, select DSP packages are on sale, and this pack is one of the selections. I’ve already made some gorgeous cards using it, and will update this post when they go live.
Measurements:
The Calypso Coral base measures 4-1/4 by 11 inches, scored at 5-1/2 inches
The Pretty Peacock mat measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches
After I finished water-coloring, I trimmed the water-color paper to 4 by 5-1/4 inches
The white cardstock for the inside measures 4 by 5-1/4 inches
I dry embossed the envelope flap
Water-coloring:
I am not very experienced with water-coloring, and this card was outside my comfort zone. However, I knew I wanted to use the colors I see in the sunsets from my back porch. Therefore, I found some Stampin’ Up! videos showing various watercoloring techniques. Here are three different SU! videos to help you as well.
Heat embossing:
I used VersaMark ink to stamp the sentiment on cardstock vellum
Cover the ink with black embossing powder and heat set
HINT: Be careful when using your heat tool on vellum. I only let it warm up for about 15 seconds and then quickly heat the embossing powder so the vellum doesn’t burn.
Please don’t try to emboss on vellum that is not as thick as the SU! cardstock vellum since it will burn
Using the Oceanfront stamp set, stamp the grasses on the bottom of the grass using VersaMark ink
Cover the ink with black embossing powder and heat set
Assembly:
I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere all the pieces together.
To adhere the vellum, I used a make-up sponge to evenly distribute a layer of multipurpose liquid glue on the back of the vellum. Don’t be stingy, you want a solid layer. As long as you cover the back evenly, the adhesive won’t show through the vellum.

I used the May, 2024 Paper Pumpkin kit for my card. Here it is:
These monthly all-inclusive kits come with everything you need except for an acrylic block, which is included in your first kit. There are also step-by-step instructions for each card in the kit.
Here’s a picture of the May Paper Pumpkin:
Here’s a sneak peek at the August, 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit:

My Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card:
I used one of the Crumb Cake bases and coordinating envelope for this card. All I had to do what burnish the score line.
The Early Espresso mat measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches
The blue DSP (designer series paper) on the front of the card started out as a card base. I trimmed the base in half, then trimmed one piece to 4 by 5-1/4 inches.
Using the tree duo stamp included with the kit, I stamped it across the front of the blue DSP using VersaMark ink. Then, I covered it with clear embossing powder and heat set it.
Here’s a close-up of these clear embossed stamps since they are so subtle:
Then, I wrapped some linen Crumb Cake bakers’ twine around the blue DSP and attached it in the back using tear & tape.
Next, I stamped the sentiments using Misty Moonlight ink. I used the included dimensionals to adhere the sentiment pentagon and the circle of pre-stamped trees.
After stamping the trees duo in Early Espresso ink on the inside white cardstock, I outlined the panel using Misty Moonlight ink.
Finally, I adhered the white cardstock on the inside of the card base.
Thank you for stopping by today! Have a Peachy Day! Sue
Colors included in this kit:
Misty Moonlight (Classic Stampin’ Spot), Early Espresso, Crumb Cake,

It’s so easy to get carried away with metallic products, but I wanted to keep this card clean and simple for a masculine birthday card.
Here’s my card:
The Peaceful Moments stamp set, the Golden Honey DSP (designer series paper), and the gold metallic specialty DSP are all retired, but I kept them for a variety of reasons.. The spray under the sentiment comes from the Lovely & Sweet bundle, which is current and one of my favorite bundles!
Measurements:
The Basic Black base measures 8-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches
The Basic White mat measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches
HINT: Crop the inside Countryside Corners piece of white cardstock from the mat piece. No one will see the cropped out piece once the DSP is adhered to the front.
The black and gold DSP measures 4 by 5-1/4 inches
I used the same DSP for the envelope flap, which measures 2-1/2 by 6 inches
After punching a 1-inch circle of the gold DSP, I ran it through my XYRON create-a-sticker to make the envelope seal
Next, the gold specialty DSP measures 1-1/4 by 5 inches
I used leftover pieces of white and black for the spray under the front sentiment and the black sentiment panel
Stamping, Cropping, & Assembly:
Unless otherwise noted, I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere the pieces together
Using your embossing buddy from the Embossing Additions Tool Kit, wipe down the leftover pieces of white and black cardstock. Don’t skip this step because the buddy will wipe off any stray oils or dust from the cardstock so you get a clean image.
Stamp both the sentiment and the floral spray using VersaMark ink
Add black embossing powder to the floral spray. Make sure to flick the back of the cardstock to remove excess powder.
Add gold embossing powder to the black cardstock
Heat set both pieces using your heat tool
Crop the floral spray using the Lovely & Sweet die set
Crop the sentiment using a Countryside Corners die
HINT: I used a gold Wink of Stella pen to outline the sentiment panel so it pops off the black and gold DSP
First, adhere the white cardstock to the base
Next, adhere the black & gold DSP to the white mat
Then, adhere the gold DSP to the left-hand side of the card
Add two pieces of tear & tape to the back of the checked DSP so they line up with the top and bottom of the gold DSP
Wrap a piece of gold trim around the front so it lines up with the end of the gold DSP and adhere to the tear & tape
Adhere the checked DSP to the white cardstock
Add dimensionals under the floral spray and the sentiment and adhere the joined pieces to the front
I used the second largest Countryside Corners die to crop a piece of white cardstock for the inside of the card on which I stamped a birthday sentiment
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set
Welcome to the newest Cardz 4 Guyz challenge! I’m hosting this two-week challenge and chose Animal Magic for the theme. When you finish here, please visit the challenge site to see what the rest of the very talented design team members created. Then, don’t forget to upload your creations to our gallery. We look forward to seeing your creations there!
When it came time for me to make a card, I have to admit I was stumped. Animal Magic?? I started thinking outside the box, and came across my retired Beary Christmas DSP. I have nephews and need cards specifically for them, so I thought why not? Polar bears at Christmas are kind of magical, right? I also knew I needed to keep the card embellishments to a minimum for a more masculine feel.
Here’s my set of cards:
Karen Titus is a U.S. Stampin’ UP! demonstrator and her cards, templates, and videos are always step-by-step and easy to follow. I followed her directions for a 6 x 6 inch -never-ending card and then taught about 75 high school juniors and seniors how to do it for a Mother’s Day card. Truly, that easy. You can see that post here and my video here.
Here’s her template for this one sheet wonder set of cards:
HINT: You can use DSP with a directional pattern/design. When dry-fitting each card, make sure that the right angle corner is placed in the proper position.
Measurements:
In addition to the 4 pieces of DSP trimmed using the one sheet wonder template, you’ll need the following for each card:
1 piece of Real Red cardstock trimmed to 8-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches
1 piece of Night of Navy cardstock measuring 5-1/2 by 4-1/4 inches.
HINT: Do not trim it down to 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 until after you emboss it using the Snowflake Sky 3D embossing folder. If you trim it before you emboss it, you will wind up with a smaller piece of cardstock because the embossing is so prominent.
1 cropped piece of Beary Christmas DSP for the polar bears on the front of the card
1 piece of DSP trimmed to 6 inches by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap.
Punch a 1 inch circle using coordinating DSP and run it through your XYRON create-a-sticker for the envelope seal.
1 piece of white cardstock measuring 4 by 5-1/4 inches for the inside of the card.
Assembly:
Unless otherwise noted, multipurpose liquid glue was used to adhere the pieces.
After embossing and trimming your Night of Navy cardstock piece, adhere it to the base
Align your DSP in a corner of the embossed cardstock depending on the directional pattern
Add your cropped polar bear pieces of DSP making sure to anchor it by overlapping the piece of the one sheet wonder DSP
Stamp your sentiment on white cardstock using Real Red ink
Trim the sentiment and cut chevrons in each end
Add dimensionals under the sentiment banner and adhere to the DSP
Add three resin stars to the front of the card.
Stamp your inside sentiment on the white cardstock using Real Red ink.
Adhere the inside cardstock to the base of the card
With that, you’ve finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
