It’s so easy to get carried away with metallic products, but I wanted to keep this card clean and simple for a masculine birthday card.
Here’s my card:

The Peaceful Moments stamp set, the Golden Honey DSP (designer series paper), and the gold metallic specialty DSP are all retired, but I kept them for a variety of reasons.. The spray under the sentiment comes from the Lovely & Sweet bundle, which is current and one of my favorite bundles!
Measurements:
- The Basic Black base measures 8-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches
- The Basic White mat measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches
- HINT: Crop the inside Countryside Corners piece of white cardstock from the mat piece. No one will see the cropped out piece once the DSP is adhered to the front.
- The black and gold DSP measures 4 by 5-1/4 inches
- I used the same DSP for the envelope flap, which measures 2-1/2 by 6 inches
- After punching a 1-inch circle of the gold DSP, I ran it through my XYRON create-a-sticker to make the envelope seal
- Next, the gold specialty DSP measures 1-1/4 by 5 inches
- I used leftover pieces of white and black for the spray under the front sentiment and the black sentiment panel
Stamping, Cropping, & Assembly:
- Unless otherwise noted, I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere the pieces together
- Using your embossing buddy from the Embossing Additions Tool Kit, wipe down the leftover pieces of white and black cardstock. Don’t skip this step because the buddy will wipe off any stray oils or dust from the cardstock so you get a clean image.
- Stamp both the sentiment and the floral spray using VersaMark ink
- Add black embossing powder to the floral spray. Make sure to flick the back of the cardstock to remove excess powder.
- Add gold embossing powder to the black cardstock
- Heat set both pieces using your heat tool
- Crop the floral spray using the Lovely & Sweet die set
- Crop the sentiment using a Countryside Corners die
- HINT: I used a gold Wink of Stella pen to outline the sentiment panel so it pops off the black and gold DSP
- First, adhere the white cardstock to the base
- Next, adhere the black & gold DSP to the white mat
- Then, adhere the gold DSP to the left-hand side of the card
- Add two pieces of tear & tape to the back of the checked DSP so they line up with the top and bottom of the gold DSP
- Wrap a piece of gold trim around the front so it lines up with the end of the gold DSP and adhere to the tear & tape
- Adhere the checked DSP to the white cardstock
- Add dimensionals under the floral spray and the sentiment and adhere the joined pieces to the front
- I used the second largest Countryside Corners die to crop a piece of white cardstock for the inside of the card on which I stamped a birthday sentiment
- With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set
Thank you for stopping by today.
Have a Peachy Day!
