Welcome to the bi-weekly Make My Monday challenge. I’m the host for challenge # 207, and I chose three of anything as the theme.
When you finish here, I hope you will visit the challenge site to see the projects created by the rest of the design team. We would love to see your “three of anything” creations uploaded to our gallery!
Here’s my three of anything card:
I think I might have gone a little bit overboard with the groups of three. Three ladybugs, three white circles, three Sweet Sorbet circles, and three sets of googly-eyes. I. just can’t seem to put these ladybugs together without using googly eyes. Admit it – they are stinking cute with those eyes!
What You Need:
A Sweet Sorbet base trimmed to 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches.
The background DSP (designer series paper) comes from the Zany Zoo suite. It measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches. Then, I outlined it with a black Stamping Write Marker to give it some definition.
Trim another piece of DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap.
Punch a 1-inch circle of coordinating Sweet Sorbet 6 x 6 inch DSP for the envelope seal.
Punch 3 black ladybug bodies and 3 Sweet Sorbet sets of wings.
I punched three vellum cardstock wings as well.
Those circles! Did you notice the deckled circles? They can be found in the new mini-catalog which goes live September 6, 2023. I cropped three white and three Sweet Sorbet deckled circles.
Trim a piece of white cardstock to 5-1/4 by 4 inches for the inside of the card. I. don’t know the purpose of this all occasion card yet, so I didn’t stamp an inside sentiment.
Putting the Card Together:
I only added dimensionals to the bottom, right-hand ladybug and the sentiment. I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere everything else.
Wrap a piece of the metallic Sweet Sorbet ribbon around the DSP and tie it in a bow.
Glue the white circles to the Sweet Sorbet circles.
Stamp the Sweet Sorbet wings using the dots stamp from the Hello Ladybug stamp set using Momento Tuxedo Black ink.
Layer the Sweet Sorbet wings on the vellum wings so the vellum barely shows between the wings and the body of the ladybugs.
Then adhere the Sweet Sorbet circles to the DSP using multipurpose liquid glue.
Adhere the ladybugs to the circle mats.
Stamp the sentiment in Tuxedo Black and crop using a label die.
Punch a tiny dot from the top of the label and thread a small piece of the metallic ribbon through the hole. I used a piece of tear & tape on the back to secure it in place.
Using dimensionals, adhere the sentiment to the front of the card under the bow.
Since the googly eyes are self-adhesive, I just needed to peel the backing off and apply to the ladybugs. So stinking cute!
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
Welcome to the 206th edition of the biweekly Make My Monday challenge. Our host, Mary V., chose Space Travel as the theme. When you finish here, I hope you will visit the challenge site to see the creations from the rest of the design team. I really struggled with this one, but everyone else seems to have nailed it! We can’t wait to see what you create, so please remember to upload your projects to the gallery.
Here’s my faux shaker Space Travel card:
I said it’s a faux shaker card because it’s the much easier version. To create this card, you need to use the Stampin’ UP! medium envelopes, item # 102619, pictured below:
These envelopes measure 5-3/4 by 4-3/8 inches, but will fold and burnish easily to match the size of your inside DSP (designer series paper). Connie Stewart posted a quick Tuesday Tip video showing how to create the faux shaker card. You can see that here.
HINT: For the insides of the shaker card, I added some sequins to some Kosher Salt and a little bit of glitter. Yes, you read that correctly: Kosher Salt. It’s fabulous for shaker cards and I’ve used it for years in my shakers.
Measurements:
The Blackberry Bliss base measures 8-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches.
Trim a piece of DSP to 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches for the inside.
You need a coordinating piece of DSP for the frame. I started with a piece that’s 4-1/4 by 5-1/2 inches and cropped it using the deckled rectangle dies to create a frame.
I added a 1/2 by 4 inch of DSP to the bottom of the 4 by 5-1/4 inch white cardstock for the inside of the card.
Trim another piece of DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap.
Punch 1-inch circle using a coordinating piece of DSP for the envelope seal and run it through your XYRON create-a-sticker machine.
That’s it for the measurements.
Assembly:
Put the DSP into the clear envelope. Make sure you have the adhesive tab facing the back.
The most important thing is to make sure that you have the bottom corner of the DSP firmly in place in the corner of the clear envelope.
After I folded and burnished the clear envelope to fit my DSP, I used tear & tape to keep the side fold in place.
Add your shaker pieces to the inside of the envelope.
The shaker part adds bulk, so I didn’t want to use dimensionals to adhere the frame in place. Therefore, I used tear & tape to adhere it to the envelope.
Using VersaMark ink, stamp your sentiment on Blackberry Bliss cardstock. Cover it with silver embossing powder and heat set it.
Crop your sentiment making sure your ends line up with the outside frame of your card.
Add 1 dimensional under the sentiment banner so it doesn’t get bent down in the mail.
Add the white cardstock with the DSP trim to the inside of the card.
That’s it. With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.

Again, thank you very much for stopping by today! I’ll see you tomorrow for the August Sparkles Christmas Buddies Challenge!
Welcome to the newest Make My Monday challenge starting today, June 17,2023. I’m a little late with this post, but I hope the card I created makes up for it! Our host for #205, Caz, chose an aperture card. I had to look up directions for an aperture card, but I found one I liked, and I hope you will as well.
I want to thank Henry Bacon for the wonderful update to my logo! Thank you for making my vision become a reality!
Here’s my Playing in the Rain card:
This card was basically done with leftovers. Leftover DSP so I had to be very careful since I didn’t have any other pieces, The leftover turtle, rabbit, and clouds that I’d previously cropped, and leftover Cajun Craze twine (no telling how long I’ve had that).
Her measurements call for 5-7/8 inches by 12 inches. For the U.S. medium envelopes, I simply trimmed the cardstock to 5-1/2 inches so the card would fit in a medium Basic White envelope, Then, I followed all the same scoring lines and directions. The finished card measures 4 by 5-1/2 inches. It certainly is a happy surprise for the lucky recipient!
Measurements for the U.S. :
I started with a 5-1/2 by 12 inch cardstock.
Both the inside and outside DSP panels measure 3-7/8 inches by 5-3/8 inches.
I trimmed the white cardstock to 3-1/2 by 5-1/4 inches for the inside.
I added dimensionals for all the outside elements, so the card will need 2 stamps for the post office.
As always, I trimmed a piece of coordinating DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap.
I also punched a 1-inch circle from another piece of DSP for the envelope seal.
After running the seal through my XYRON create-a-sticker, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Have a Peachy Day!
Sue

Welcome to the newest bi-weekly Make My Monday challenge! Our host for challenge #203, Dawn, chose On the Water for the theme. When you finish here, I hope you will visit the challenge site. It’s always a treat to see what the rest of the design team members created for the challenge. I hope you will be inspired to play along with us and post your creation in the gallery.
Here’s my card:
While it may not look like a water card, the DSP (designer series paper) is called By the Bay, and the swirls remind me of the different colors in the water and the sky at the beach. It’s my family’s annual beach week this week, so maybe I just have the beach on my mind.
Measurements and Such:
Trim a piece of Night of Navy to 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches. Score at 4-1/4 inches to create a tent card.
Use the largest deckled rectangle die to crop the background DSP. Adhere to the card base using multipurpose liquid glue.
Use the next smallest deckled rectangle die to crop the swirled DSP.
Trim a piece of gold foil to 1 inch wide. Use the same deckled rectangle die as above to create the gold foil trim.
Offset the gold trim so that just a sliver of it shows under the swirled DSP.
Stamp a sentiment onto a scrap piece of white cardstock using Night of Navy ink.
Crop the sentiment using an appropriate size deckled rectangle die.
Crop a piece of the wavy Night of Navy DSP. for a mat under the sentiment. Attach it to the swirled DSP using multipurpose liquid glue.
Wrap Night of Navy ribbon around the swirled DSP so it goes over the sentiment mat piece of DSP and tie it in a bow.
Add dimensionals under the sentiment panel so they straddle the ribbon. Adhere to the card.
Trim a piece of white cardstock to 4 by 5-1/4 inches for the inside panel.
Stamp the sentiment using Night of Navy ink.
Trim a 1/2 inch wide piece of the swirled DSP and adhere to the bottom of the white cardstock.
Trim a piece of coordinating DSP (I used the waves pattern) to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap.
Punch a 1 inch circle from coordinating DSP to use for the envelope seal. I use the XYRON create-a-sticker to do this. You can find the link on Amazon here. The link for the permanent adhesive refills can be found here.
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.

Welcome to a new Make My Monday biweekly challenge! The host for challenge #202, JoAnn B, chose a summer theme. When you finish here, I hope you will visit the challenge site to see all the other summer fun challenges from the rest of the design team.
Here’s my non-traditional summer fun card:
I used the layout from the Splitcoast Stampers challenge #959.
Trim a piece of Night of Navy cardstock to 8-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches, and score at 4-1/4 inches to form a tent fold.
I used the By the Bay 6 x 6 inch DSP (designer series paper) for all of the patterned paper..
Trim DSP pattern #1 to 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches.
Trim DSP pattern #2 to 4 by 5-1/4 inches.
Punch DSP pattern #3 using a 2-1/2 inch circle punch.
I used a circle compass for the large circle in DSP pattern #4 using a 3-1/4 inch radius. I’ve had my circle compass for more than 25 years (scary thought, I know!) but you can still get this fabulous tool using this link on Amazon. For some strange and unknown reason, I can’t get the picture of this compass to paste at all.
For pattern #5, I used a piece of natural ribbon, for which I adhered the ends on the back of DSP #2 using tear-n-tape.
Stamp the sentiment onto DSP pattern #1 using Night of Navy ink. I actually stamped it on the piece of DSP I used for pattern #1 and then punched it using a label punch.
Punch a small hole in the sentiment label, add some linen thread and tie around the natural ribbon.
Trim a piece of white cardstock to 4 by 5-1/4 inches for the inside.
Stamp the greeting using Night of Navy ink.
Trim a piece of DSP to 1/2 by 5-1/4 inches and adhere to the bottom of the white cardstock.
Adhere using multipurpose glue.
Trim a piece of coordinating DSP to 2-1/2 inches by 6 inches for the envelope flap.
Punch a 1 inch circle of DSP for the envelope seal.
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
When new team members purchase their Starter Kit, they will be able to redeem $155 USD of Starter Kit eligible products for just $99 USD! No commitment required beyond the starter kit!
If you don’t already have a SU! demo, or if you are interested in joining under the starter kit promotion, I’d be honored to work with you.

Welcome to the 200th Make My Monday biweekly challenge! Woo-HOO! Our host, Jackie, chose Clean and Simple (base plus one layer) for the challenge theme. When you finish here, I hope you will visit the challenge site to see the projects from the rest of the design team. I always enjoy seeing how each member incorporates their own interpretation of the challenge themes. We’d love to have you join us by posting your CAS card in our gallery.
I wound up making two cards for this challenge. The first one is the one posted on the challenge site. The second one does a better job of having just the base and one layer. Both cards use Blackberry Bliss for the card base, and the retired New Horizons DSP (designer series paper). I’m down to my last few 6×6 inch sheets, and am really trying to use it up.
Here are my cards:
Measurements:
Since the second card is more in line with the theme, I’ll give the information for that card.
The Blackberry Bliss base measures 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches.
Using the Painted Textures 3D embossing folder, emboss a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock. AFTER you emboss it, trim the cardstock to 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches..
Adhere the embossed cardstock to the card base using multipurpose liquid glue.
Trim a piece of New Horizons DSP to 3-3/4 inches by 5-1/4 inches.
Trim a coordinating piece of the DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap.
Punch a 1 inch circle from the DSP for the envelope seal.
Rub down the DSP using your embossing buddy.
I wanted to use Blackberry Bliss ink and clear embossing powder. Therefore, I used my discontinued Stamparatus. If you don’t already have this kind of stamping tool, I highly recommend getting one.
Stamp the sentiment using Blackberry Bliss ink.
Clean the stamp, and restamp using VersaMark.
Cover the sentiment with clear embossing powder and heat set the sentiment.
Adhere the DSP to the dry embossed cardstock using multipurpose liquid glue.
Trim a piece of white cardstock to 5-1/4 by 4 inches for the inside panel.
Stamp your sentiment using Blackberry Bliss ink.
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
The individual color families were also refreshed. Some of your favorites have been moved to another family, some retired, and new ones added. Here are the new color families:
While I love a color refresh, it means I have to reorganize my color families to update them. I like to keep my stamp pads in the Stamp-n-Storage inkpad storage in color families. Same with my markers.
HINT: I use a stamp set container to store my markers. It allows me to keep store them flat and I can fit one color family in each container. I just write down a list of the colors on a piece of paper and slip it in the cover.
However, I haven’t reorganized my color families yet. Truth be told, my room is a mess right now because I am in the middle of reorganizing. I have so, so , so much retired product that I need to sell ASAP.
