Here’s my Birds card:
I used the retired Twinkle, Twinkle DSP (designer series paper) for this card. It’s from the same DSP that I used for the baby card for the previous challenge, which you can see here. Before these C4Galz challenges, I didn’t have any neutral baby cards in my stash, but I think I’ve got it covered now. I pulled the colors from the DSP and used Petal Pink, Gray Granite, Pool Party, and remaining scraps of Mint Macaron. The enamel dots are also retired. I tend to hold onto embellishments and ribbon “just in case” I need it sometime. However, I am getting better at clearing out the old in exchange for the new.
The bird on the right looks light orange, but I promise that it was colored with the Petal Pink blends combo. The one of the left was colored with the Pool Party blends combo set. The balloon holding hamster was colored using the Gray Granite blends combo set.
Current Products:
The current products used for this card are the circle die cuts using the Stylish Shapes dies and the Fluffiest Friends stamp and die sets. That set has some of the cutest little animals and I use them often.
It’s always fun combining old and new products. If you don’t have these products, use this classic layout to create your own cards. The bottom strip of DSP, or cardstock, just needs to be around one-third of the height of the card to keep it in balance. Of course, if you want to use a top and bottom half, you are more than welcome to do so, but this layout may not work.
Thank you for stopping by today!
Have a Peachy Day!

I used some retired Twinkle, Twinkle DSP (designer series paper), the retired resin stars, and the retired Animal Outing stamp set and dies. I’ve used this stamp, dies, and DSP combination for years, and I still love using it for baby cards.
Here’s my Welcome Little One baby card:
Measurements:
The Night of Navy base measures 8-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches
I used a piece of (retired) Pear Pizazz cardstock for the mat, which measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches
The stars DSP measures 4 by 5-1/4 inches
The striped DSP piece measures 1-5/8 by 4 inches
I also trimmed a piece of the striped DSP to 2-1/2 by 6 inches for the envelope flap.
Next, I punched a 1-inch circle of the stars DSP for the envelope seal, then ran it through my XYRON create-a-sticker
The white cardstock for the inside measures 4 by 5-1/4 inches
Stamping &Coloring:
Stamp the kangaroo and frog on the branch using Momento Tuxedo Black ink
Stamp the front sentiment on a scrap piece of white cardstock using Pear Pizazz ink
Color the kangaroo using the Crumb Cake blends combo
Color the koala using the light Smoky Slate blend, then outline him with a pointed end of a black journaling marker
Color the branch using a Gray Granite marker
Use the Pear Pizazz marker to color the leaves and the frog. Use an Old Olive marker to color the frog’s legs
Crop the kangaroo and the frog on the branch using the coordinating die set
Crop the front sentiment using a banner die from Stylish Shapes
Stamp the inside sentiments from Charming Sentiments stamp set as shown below:
Assembly:
Unless otherwise noted, I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere the pieces together.
Adhere the Pear Pizazz cardstock to the Night of Navy base
Adhere the striped DSP to the stars DSP
Add two pieces of tear & tape to the back of the DSP so you can wrap a piece of the white diagonal trim so it covers the line where the two DSP pieces join
Trim an additional piece of the white trim and tie it in a knot on the front of the card
Add dimensionals to the back of the sentiment, kangaroo, and frog on a branch and adhere the pieces to the front of the card
Randomly add three Night of Navy resin stars to the stars on the DSP
Adhere the inside piece of white cardstock
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set
Welcome back to the bi-weekly Cardz 4 Galz challenge # 229. Our host, Johanna, picked Shades of Blue for the theme. When you finish here, please visit the challenge site to see what the rest of the very talented design team members created. Then, don’t forget to upload your creations to our gallery. We look forward to seeing your creations there!
The DSP (designer series paper) I used is retired, as is the stamp set, Kinda Eclectic. When I was sorting out my retired DSP 6 x 6 inches pieces, I found this DSP, which I loved when it came out. Happily, the Misty Moonlight and Mossy Meadow colors in the DSP are current. Also, I am trying to sell my retired products and came across this stamp set. I thought the leaves would match the DSP, so winner, winner. The sentiment on the inside is also from a retired stamp set, Good Feelings, and the set is a keeper.
Here’s my Shades of Blue z-fold card:
Z-folds make such an impact with just one more score line in the card base.
Measurements:
You’ll need the following pieces for this card:
1 piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock measuring 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches, scored at 2-2-1/8 and 4-1/4 inches
1 piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock for the flap measuring 3-1/2 by 4-1/8 inches
2 pieces of the background DSP measuring 2 by 5-3/8 inches and 4-1/4 by 5-3/8 inches
2 pieces of coordinating DSP measuring 2 by 5-3/8 inches and 3-3/8 by 4 inches for the mat on the flap
2 pieces of white cardstock for the sentiment panels measuring 3-7/8 by 3-1/4 inches and 3-3/8 inches by 4 inches for the inside panel
Since I stamped the envelope flap to match the leaves and dots on the card, I only needed to punch a 1-inch circle of DSP and run it through my XYRON create-a-sticker for the envelope seal.
Stamping:
I didn’t add dimensionals to anything on this card since it already has a number of layers on it. Therefore, I used multipurpose liquid glue for all the pieces.
Stamp the sentiments using Misty Moonlight ink on the front and inside white cardstock panels
Next, stamp the leaves on each piece in Mossy Meadow on both pieces as well
Add the dotted stamp on the bottom of each white cardstock piece using Misty Moonlight ink
While you have the Mossy Meadow and Misty Moonlight ink pads out, stamp one leaf cluster in the bottom corner of the front of the envelope
Also randomly stamp leaf clusters and the dots on the envelope flap
HINT: Use Post-it notes to mask off the front of the envelope so that you can stamp off the top of the flap without going onto the front of the envelope
Assembly:
Adhere your primary DSP to the front and inside of the card
Layer the second DSP pattern on the Misty Moonlight flap, then adhere the front sentiment panel
Adhere the second DSP pattern piece to the inside left-hand side of the card (optional but I like to do it so it finishes all parts of the card)
Figure out where you want your outside sentiment panel to live. Adhere liquid glue only to the part of the Misty Moonlight cardstock that will be adhered to the DSP flap
The absolute only “tricky” part is adhering the inside white cardstock. (I forgot to take pictures while I was making the card so I had to recreate the steps to take the following pictures.) The easiest way to do it is to open your card as shown below:
Add mutlipurpose liquid glue to the underside of the sentiment panel
The sentiment on the inside is already adhered because I forgot to take pictures. Your sentiment panel should be face down with the liquid glue on the back of said panel
Line up the inside sentiment panel with the back of the outside sentiment panel so that the glue is showing, as shown below:
Fold the back of the card over the upside down back making sure that the inside panel stays in place
If you used multipurpose liquid glue, you have a bit of time to adjust the inside panel if needed
When I finished, I thought the front needed a little something, so I added 3 bronze butterflies, which are current
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal.
Welcome back to the bi-weekly Cardz 4 Galz challenge # 225. Our host and fearless leader, Caz, picked National Bee Day for the theme. When you finish here, please visit the challenge site to see what the rest of the very talented design team members created. Then, don’t forget to upload your creations to our gallery. We look forward to seeing your creations there!
Here’s my National Bee Day card:
I’m so glad this Bee My Valentine stamp set and punch carried over. While it is a Valentine’s Day set, it’s also versatile.
I also posted a Cardz 4 Guyz design team card using this layout. You can see that post here.
Measurements:
Trim a piece of Basic Black cardstock to 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches, score at 4-1/4 inches.
Trim a piece of Crushed Curry 6 x 6 inch DSP (designer series paper) to 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches.
Next, trim a piece of the same DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap.
While I could just leave this card for my husband on the counter or coffee bar, I want to mail it. Everyone loves getting mail, right? Therefore, I punched a Crushed Curry heart from scrap DSP for the envelope flap.
Trim a piece of black and white DSP to 3 by 1-1/2 inches. Then cut the piece in half diagonally to get the two triangles.
After running a piece of black cardstock through the Cut & Emboss machine using an embossing folder of your choice, crop it using a deckled rectangle die.
Trim a piece of white cardstock to 5-1/4 by 4 inches for the inside panel of the card.
Use a piece of scrap white cardstock for the sentiment, wings, and antenna stamp.
You will also need a scrap piece(s) of Crushed Curry cardstock for the bees.
Stamping, Punching, Assembly:
Stamp the stripes and face on Crushed Curry cardstock using Momento Tuxedo Black ink three times.
HINT: You will make better use of your scraps if you stamp a bee on either end of the scrap and punch them out. Make sure to leave enough room in the center of the scrap to stamp and punch out the third bee.
Stamp two sets of wings and antennae on scrap white cardstock and punch out.
I also punched a set of wings from vellum cardstock just as an added touch. It’s optional, though.
Unless otherwise noted, I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere pieces together.
Adhere the wings, vellum, and antenna pieces using glue dots.
Add dimensionals under one bee for the outside. The bee on the inside was adhered using multipurpose liquid glue..
After stamping your sentiment, crop it out with a deckled rectangle die and add dimensionals on the back so it will straddle the baker’s twine.
Wrap some baker’s twine around the black embossed cardstock and adhere the ends in the back with tape.
Next, I tied a bow on the front with another piece of twine and cut the ends to size.
Add dimensionals to the back to the embossed black cardstock to accommodate the twine.
Adhere the Crushed Curry cardstock to the base of the card.
Adhere the black and white DSP triangles to opposite corners.
Stamp your sentiment on the inside and adhere to the base of the card.
Using the dotted stamp from the Bee My Valentine stamp set, stamp it across the bottom of the envelope using Tuxedo Black ink.
Stamp the wings and antennae on the front of the envelope.
Adhere the body of the bee in place.
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
While I like so much of the new format of the Stampin” UP! annual catalog, I really miss having the DSP all in one place at the back of the catalog. In addition, I find that I need to know what DSP is currently available in the online exclusives. Therefore, I created a spreadsheet for all the current DSP. I broke it up into sections for the 6 x 6 inch, 12 x 12 inch, and the online exclusive DSP and I got it all on one page. The font is small, but I left the doc as a Excel doc so you can download it and change the size if you want.
What’s just as exciting as the new 2024 – 2025 Annual Catalog? That would be the new kits now available. They are fabulous, but I must get the one with the adorable dogs ASAP after it comes back in stock!
Take a look at these all-inclusive kits! All you need to add is a pair of snips/scissors and an acrylic block for stamping.
.
If you live in the U.S. and don’t already have a Stampin’ UP! demo from whom you order, I would be honored to work with you.

Here’s my celebrations fun fold anniversary card:
The layout for the front of this card meets the Try a Sketch on Tuesday (TSOT) challenge # 645.
Since it evolved into a fun fold, I will also be adding it to the gallery for the Creative Creases challenge.
Basically, this card started out as a regular fold anniversary card. However, the person who ordered the card wanted to emphasize that it’s his parents’ 40th anniversary. Therefore, I added the inside flap. Truly, if you can create a regular fold card, you can do this added flap card.
Measurements:
The Pebbled Path base measures 8-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches.
The Pebbled Path flap part measures 4-1./2 by 4 inches, scored at 1/2 inch.
I used the Nature’s Sweetness 12 x 12 DSP (designer series paper) for all parts of the card.
The script background measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches.
Next, I cut a piece of the splattered DSP to 4 by 4 inches. Then I traced out a partial circle from the corner of the DSP and trimmed it down.
HINT: If you don’t have a handy dandy tool, you can use trace a bowl for the size you need, then trim it down.
The splatter DSP for the inside flap measures 3-3/4 inches square.
I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to the same 3-3/4 inches square for the inside sentiment part of the card.
The gold and white DSP on the inside of the card measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches.
Finally, I trimmed a piece of the DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap. Then, I punched a 1-inch circle from the splatter DSP for my envelope seal and ran it through my XYRON create-a-sticker.
That’s it for the measurements.
Stamping, Heat Embossing, & Assembly:
After wiping down a scrap of white cardstock for the front sentiment, the floral spray and the piece for the inside sentiment using my embossing buddy, I stamped the all the pieces using VersaMark ink.
Then, I covered each with gold embossing powder and heat set it using my heat tool.
Next, I cropped the floral spray using the Lovely & Sweet coordinating die set.
Then, I trimmed the front sentiment down and cut it so it formed the banner end.
I added dimensionals to the sentiment banner and the floral spray to adhere them to the front of the card.
The “40” was cropped using the retired, but still well used, die set for the large numbers.
I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere all the DSP and cardstock pieces.
Make sure that you add the inside flap to the inside of the card before you adhere the gold and white DSP to the inside.
I wanted the very inside to be covered by the flap, which explains why that white cardstock is off-center.
I stamped another floral spray from the Lovely & Sweet stamp set on the inside white cardstock.
Finally, I added three gold pearls to the top, right-hand corner of the card.
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
Everyone loves new products, and there are some very special new products in the 2024 – 2025 catalog!
I already have some of these products since demonstrators were able to pre-order, especially all of the new InColor 2-24 – 2026 products. However, here are some of my must-haves on my wish list:
If you live in the U.S. and don’t already have a Stampin’ UP! demo from whom you order, I would be honored to work with you.

Here’s my The Bee Movie card:
I really had to think outside of the box for this one, and it took a lot of thinking. Then, it hit me – The Bee Movie. If you’ve joined me from the link on the C4Galz blog, then you already know I am not the only one who thought of this idea. I didn’t know Pamela also created a card using this movie, but other than using the same suite of products, we have very different cards.
Measurements:
The Sweet Sorbet base measures 11 by 4-1/4 inches, scored at 5-1/2 inches.
The Pool Party layer measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches. I actually cropped the Pool Party thin banner from the center of this cardstock since no one will see it.
The DSP (designer series paper) measures 4 by 5-1/4 inches.
I trimmed a piece of coordinating DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap.
I also punch a 1-inch circle from another pattern of the DSP for the envelope seal and ran it through my XYRON create-a-sticker for the envelope seal.
The white banner and sentiment pieces were cropped from white scraps using the Stylish Shapes dies.
The red DSP piece measures 5-1/4 by 1-7/8 inches.
The white cardstock for the inside measures 4 by 5-1/4 inches.
I used leftover pieces of white, Daffodil Delight, and Sweet Sorbet to stamp the bee pieces.
Assembly:
I adhered the layers of cardstock and DSP together using multipurpose liquid adhesive.
The sentiment comes from the Bee My Valentine and Good Feelings stamp sets. Initially, I masked off the pieces of the sentiments I would not be using. However, I found that it was easier to stamp the “bee” on white cardstock and then trim down the “HAPPY” part of the sentiment. I adhered it using multipurpose liquid glue.
After cropping the white and Pool Party banners, I cut the Pool Party one in half. Each end is adhered to the back of the white banner with liquid glue. Then, I added dimensionals to the back of the sentiment and adhered it to the red DSP.
I love that the punch for these adorable bees use heart shapes for the antenna and wings pieces. After adhering the pieces using liquid glue, I added dimensionals to the back of the bees and adhered them to the card.
I finished the front of the card using some of the 2022 – 2024 matte decorative dots.
Since this is basically an all-occasion card, I left the inside panel for the card blank until I figure out for what occasion I will be using it.
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
