Sale-a-Bration has started! It’s so much fun to get something for free with a qualifying purchase of $50! One of the first items I earned for free (did I say this set was free??) is the adorable The Gang’s All Meer stamp set. Who knew that meerkats could be this cute? The designers at SU! did!
Color Throwdown #574
The colors for this challenge included red, brown, and white, and neutrals could be added as well.

Here’s my card:
So Stinking Cute!
I’d originally made this card using Blueberry Bushel, shown here:
When I saw the colors for ctd574, I thought that the same layout with the challenge colors would be so stinking cute as well.
Therefore, I grabbed my favorite red, Cherry Cobbler, some Crumb Cake paper and ribbon, and some Cherry Cobbler DSP and started making the card.
I think the Stitched Nested Label dies fit this group of meerkats so well. The line-up of them seems to match the hexagon of the labels so well. The meerkat on the right end is one of my two favorites on this set. That single meerkat popping up out of the ground is the other favorite.
I used the Crumb Cake blends combo for all the meerkats. Then, I went back with the Early Espresso marker to add dimension to the lines inside the merrkats. I also added a bit more spiky hair to each because I thought the spiky hairs would add a bit of spunk to each of them.
Before putting all the pieces together, I first needed to dry fit the sentiment placement before I cropped it using the Stitched Rectangle die. It just fits the spot perfectly, which is a very happy accident. The square knot using Crumb Cake ribbon also just completes the bottom part of the card.
Dimensionals were used to adhere both the group of meerkats and the single one on the sentiment.
I also stamped the single merrkat popping up out of the ground on the inside of the card and the front lower right corner of the envelope.
After adding a piece of the Cherry Cobbler DSP to the envelope flap, I’d finished the set.
Going back to the challenge colors: red – Cherry Cobbler cardstock and DSP, brown – Crumb Cake ribbon and stamping blends combo and the Early Espresso marker, white – the dots on the Cherry Cobbler DSP. The other neutral is Very Vanilla for the sentiment and focal image blocks.
