Celebrating FMS300!

Freshly Made skteches is celebrating their 300th challenge!  WOW!  That’s a lot of card inspiration!

As always, the sketch is clean, as should be the cards.  Sometimes too much white space bothers me, so this time I used the Swirly embossing folder for the card background and used the debossed side.  I smeared something very faintly on the embossed side, turned the mat over and found that the debossed side was cleaner and worked much better for this card.

I used the floral DSP from A Whole Lot of Lovely, dies from Swirly Scribbles, Crushed Curry cardstock, Soft Suede paper and ink,  Whisper White bakers twine, and finished with 3 enamel dots.  The dots came in to play because the card felt so unbalanced and heavy to the right side, and they really finish the card.

Color Throwdown, #454

#CTD is a weekly color challenge which requires uploads to be just in the colors they post plus neutrals as needed.  #CTD454 is for green, light kraft, and white, and that’s all I used.  For the green I used Emerald Envy, the light kraft Crumb Cake matted on Soft Suede, and then Whisper White.  The printed DSP is retired, but the Emerald Envy, including the ribbon, is a current In Color.  I wasn’t sold on the plain base, so I ran it through my Big Shot with the Spots embossing folder thinking it would go with the polka dot pattern on the DSP.

Maybe it’s the Irish in me, but this green is gorgeous!!
