Thankful Thoughts InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s October Blog Hop!  There are so many ways to say, “Thank you!” – today’s blog hop is filled with projects that share our gratitude.  Stampin’ Up!’s catalogs (both the Annual Catalog and the Holiday Catalog) are filled with so many fun products that help us show our gratitude – and we are excited to share our creations with you today.  After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Here’s my grateful card:

To make the background paper I used the Painted Harvest stamp set.  I  first masked and stamped the leaf trio using Old Olive, and layered the details in Old Olive as well.  I then turned to the sunflowers using the Painted Harvest stamp set, I used only Elegant Eggplant by stamping off the first layer of the flowers.  I then used full strength for the second layer, and I am thrilled with the way they turned out.   When I finished, I realized I wanted to have a little extra something in all the white space, so I stamped off Old Olive and just used the detail part of the leaf stamp in just a few select places.

For this card, I pulled out Old Olive for the base and thought, eh ~ not the pop I wanted.  Then I put it on Elegant Eggplant and literally said “WOW” out loud (and to myself but  I didn’t answer, so it’s all good).   I punched out a Pretty Label from the base piece (no one will ever see all the ugly behind the Whisper White), stamped my greeting and cropped it so that the rectangle just shows the label on the top and bottom.  Added a piece of jute ribbon, some linen thread behind the label, and popped on a set of leaves from the Leaf Punch.  All kinds of mini-dimensionals were used.  Love those things!  A card with 2 layers of the minis will mail just as easily as a card with a single layer of the regular dimensionals.

My list of supplies, which I now realize sounds much more complicated than it was, is as follows:

Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant, Smoky Suede (center of flowers) ink pads

Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White cardstock

Painted Harvest and Paisleys and Posies stamp sets

Burlap ribbon, Linen Thread, Pretty Label Punch, Leaf Punch, and mini-dimensionals.

There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!  Thank you for hopping along with us.  The next blog is Shawn de Oliveira at https://www.shawnstamps.com/2017/10/thankful-thoughts-blog-hop/If you get stuck during the Blog Hop, please use this line-up below as a guide.

Have a Peachy day!
