Celebrating Sale-a-Bration for the January, 2024 Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is Sale-A-Bration. We hope that you will be inspired by the creations the Pals are sharing with you! Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
I used the Sale-a-Bration Jungle Pals stamp set (FREE with a $50 purchase), and the coordinating die set (FREE with a $100 purchase).
Here’s my card!

Personally, I think sloths are adorable! I sort of CASe’d the Sale-a-bration catalog, but added some personal touches. Here’s a close up of the stamp and die set:

Here’s the catalog page:

Measurements:
- The Azure Afternoon base measures 8-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches.
- The frame on the front of the card measures 4-1/4 by 5-3/8 inches, trimmed after I ran it through Cut & Emboss machine using one of the Basics Embossing folders. I used a deckled rectangle die to crop the frame.
- I used three pieces of white cardstock for this card. The colored one under the frame and the one on the back of the front of the card each measure 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches. The one on the back of the base of the card is 4 by 5-1/4 inches.
- I used “scraps” for the Pecan Pie tree, the Garden Green and Granny Apple Green leaves and vines. The sloths and the sentiment were stamped on white cardstock using Momento Tuxedo Black ink.
- The DSP (designer series paper) for the envelope flap measures 2-1/2 by 6 inches. I cropped a 1 inch circle of coordinating DSP for the envelope seal, which I ran through the XYRON create-a-sticker.
Stamping, Coloring, Assembly:
- After stamping the sloths, I used the Smoky Slate blends combo to color the sloths, then I cropped them using the coordinating dies. I added dimensionals to the back of the sloths.
- I used a blending brush and Azure Afternoon ink to color the white cardstock for the front of the card.
- The sentiment on the front is from the Charming Sentiments stamp set, which is cropped using the coordinating Sentiment Silhouettes die. I trimmed mini-dimensionals in half before adding them to the back of the sentiment.
- Next, I cropped the vines, leaves, and Pecan Pie tree, all of which are adhered using multipurpose liquid glue.
- I added a white piece of cardstock to the inside of the front of the card to cover some errant smudges from using the blending brushes.
- I haven’t stamped an inside sentiment yet. The outside sentiment is an all-occasion sentiment, so when I get ready to use the card, I will stamp a sentiment.
- With that I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
