One sheet wonder with Botanical Gardens

The template for this one sheet wonder makes 14 cards.  I love the paper but struggled with embellishments.  I kept thinking there should be some products to coordinate with the paper.  After card 7, I realized I have the stamp/die bundle on my shelves.  So, still stuck, I put everything away where it belongs and will move on to a wedding card.  My step-daughter is getting married next weekend and I need to make a card.  I hear Pinterest calling my name.  In the meantime, here are the first 6 cards from the OSW, and the link to the template is https://www.craftsy.com/blog/2015/11/one-sheet-wonder

The Global Design Challenge #083 was for B-L-I-N-G!

The Botanical Gardens DSP is being retired, but I am just now starting to play with the DSP, cardstock (Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze, Hello Honey, Mint Macaron) and the coordinating washi tape.   I LOVE this paper!  I am so bummed that it, and some of the colors, will be retiring.   I also used the retiring Petite Petals punch and the Sunshine die is retiring as well.

Anyway, here’s my BLING card.   I think I put 13 jewels in the centers of the flowers on this card.GDP#083

Easter cards

I wanted to make my own Easter cards and was waiting until Spring Break started on Holy Thursday (procrastination, I know).  I realized Thursday night that I’d left all my Easter stamps on my desk at school, so I had to improvise.  That’s where the circle/scallop/dragonfly comes into play.  I had the Dapper Denim ink and DSP, and I improvised, but wasn’t at all happy.  So, I finally broke down and went to school to get my Easter stamps.  That’s when I made the rest of the cards.

I made 12 of the lamb cards using the Easter lamb stamp set (masking off the “Happy Easter” part of the stamp), the sentiment is from Simply Scripted (retired), and the inks and cardstock were In Colors from 2013-2015.

I then made the other Dapper Denim Easter/Enjoy your day cards.

Match This Sketch, #172 challenge card:

As I have said, I just love this paper!  Botantical Gardens again, Mint Macaron background, Hello Honey cardstock and Cajun Craze ink with the Simply Falling EF, turned on it’s side.  I used the Petite Petals punch again, the Triple Banner Punch, and the Botanical Gardens washi tape.  I also needed a little something extra, so I included 3 Cajun Craze candy dots for the centers of the 3 flowers.  Odd numbers are pleasing to the eye, and when using 3 of some kind of embellishment, a triangle pattern creates movement.  I owe my upline, Brian King of stampingwithbrian.com, a nickle because I  used his squinty eyes technique to make sure the card was balanced.MTS #172

For the New Year of 2017, I have resolved to spend more time in my “blue room” creating, crafting, and relaxing.  This is my first challenge card of the New Year!
