This card for Fab Friday came together rather quickly. I knew I wanted to use the Pick a Pattern DSP, added the coordinating washi tape on the Whisper White base and added the cute little bird I punched from another piece of paper from the DSP. Basic Black mats, sentiment pieces from the Dare to Dream hostess set and ta-da, card is done!

While I made cards for 4 challenges today, I missed two of the deadlines between last night and this evening. That’s ok, I now have cards with which I am happy and can’t wait to share.
Freshly Made Sketches 293 was one of challenges I can still enter, and I’m pleased to say that I will be giving this card to my daughter, who will be leaving home on Tuesday for 6 weeks of working in Alaska. Heaven help me and I am praying for her safety, journeys, and adventures.
For this card, I had to make a mask to get the semi-circle, then use a dauber with Pool Party on a Whisper White base. I then used the edge of the mask to outline the semi-circle in Lost Lagoon. Sounds easy, right? I had to scrap my first go and start over on the backside of the WW base. That’s the reason cardstock has 2 sides though, right? This fabulous stamp set is a hostess set titled . Whisper White bakers twine finishes the card off.

Guess who and what arrived from the man in the brown truck today! This Little Piggy stamp set and the Pick a Pattern DSP. Love. Love. Love. I can finally make some of my own cards with this fabulous duo. Which is exactly what I did tonight!
GDP092 is Case the Designer this week. I think I got close, but definitely used the card as inspiration. I’ve got the ribbon, the enamel shapes, focal point is in the bottom right hand corner, and double layering mats on the focal point instead of the background. Either way, it was so much fun coloring this adorable pig and making this card. As always, the mats underneath the DSP are ugly with all my cutouts or punches, but no one sees them, so it’s all good.
This set is definitely a keeper and I am going to need some more of this fabulous DSP. It definitely grew on me!

I love paisleys, I mean really love paisleys! However, this bundle sat unused on my shelf since it first came out. I finally broke it out for the current #royalchallenge and am pretty pleased with the resulting background and little leaves from the die set.
The colors in this card make my heart happy; So Saffron and Fresh Fig. I used the Happy Birthday die in Fresh Fig. The little leaves were first stamped with Fresh Fig on the matching cardstock. The So Saffron dots are from the Subtles collection.

Same challenge, same style and DSP, for another card. I needed a Father’s Day card, DH’s favorite color is yellow (Delightful Dijon is close enough, right?), and this is masculine. Even though I had already made a card like this, the greeting on the Father’s Day card was all on one long stamp, which wouldn’t have worked. I had to mask off part of the stamp and line up each word using my Hampton Art stamp positioner. All of the banners were glued together using Tombow, and then I used (contraband) black bakers twine, and dimensionals to pop the whole banner up. I’m pretty pleased with the result.

Start to finish, 15 minute card. Have to love when that happens. I saw the tic-tac-toe board for this week’s challenge and immediately thought I’d use the newly retired Urban Underground DSP and embellishments for the masculine, grey, embellishment diagonal. Colors are Basic Grey, Basic Black, and Delightful Dijon. I use the Stitched Shapes framelits so often they have been my go to framelits for keeping a clean look.
