Same challenge, same style and DSP, for another card. I needed a Father’s Day card, DH’s favorite color is yellow (Delightful Dijon is close enough, right?), and this is masculine. Even though I had already made a card like this, the greeting on the Father’s Day card was all on one long stamp, which wouldn’t have worked. I had to mask off part of the stamp and line up each word using my Hampton Art stamp positioner. All of the banners were glued together using Tombow, and then I used (contraband) black bakers twine, and dimensionals to pop the whole banner up. I’m pretty pleased with the result.

Start to finish, 15 minute card. Have to love when that happens. I saw the tic-tac-toe board for this week’s challenge and immediately thought I’d use the newly retired Urban Underground DSP and embellishments for the masculine, grey, embellishment diagonal. Colors are Basic Grey, Basic Black, and Delightful Dijon. I use the Stitched Shapes framelits so often they have been my go to framelits for keeping a clean look.

I finally have finished a card I can post to FMS challenge! I’ve tried for the past few challenges and always wind up with something too busy, but I kept it simple today. Eastern Beauty greeting meets Delightful Daisy DSP in Calypso Coral. This DSP is so versatile and fun to use. For the 3 square boxes I used the Stitched Shapes framelits, which are very quickly becoming my favorite go-to framelits.

When I first saw this color combo, I was a little concerned about making the Lemon Lime Twist work with the Daffodil Delight and Pool Party, but this is a great trio of colors. I used the Eastern Beauty bundle for the stamps in the background. I always love making my own paper, and these stamps and colors were soft and subtle, and works (at least for me). Layering all the pieces from the framelits was fun!

My DH’s boss’ 7 year old son has been in and out of the hospital with pneumonia and stomach issues for more than a week. DH wanted to have a get well card for the son, so I did this. FMS # 291’s sketch is shown below, but I turned it on it’s side for this card, mainly because the hug monster fit better with this orientation. DSP is Cupcakes and Carousels. In making this card, I found out that I need to get some options for get well sentiments and also some Bermuda Bay paper (fingers crossed on that purchase).

Fab Friday’s challenge was to use all 5 of the new In-Colors for 2017 – 2019. It took a little bit of playing around, but I did it. All 5 colors, Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Tranquil Tide, and Powder Pink, are individually gorgeous, but getting them all in one card was truly a challenge. The Crafting Together stamp set fit what I needed. I haven’t gotten any of the In Colors ribbon or bakers twine yet, so I used the Tranquil Tide marker and colored some black & white bakers twine.
