Welcome back to the bi-weekly Cardz 4 Galz challenge #279. Our host for this two week challenge, Helen, chose Clean & Simple (CAS) for the theme. When you finish here, please visit the challenge site to see what the rest of the design team members created. Then, don’t forget to upload your creations to our gallery. We look forward to seeing your creations there!
Here’s my card:

Measurements:
- The Cloud Cover base measures 8-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/2 inches
- After dry-embossing a piece of white cardstock using the exposed brick embossing folder, trim it to 5-3/8 by 4-1/8 inches
- The piece of white cardstock for the inside measures 5-1/4 by 4 inches
- Trim a piece of Peaceful Pine cardstock to 2 by 5-3/8 inches
- Next, trim a piece of the Velvet Meadow DSP (designer series paper) to 1-7/8 by 5-1/2 inches
- I cropped the sentiment banner from the piece of Peaceful Pine cardstock using a die from the Stylish Shapes die set
- Trim a piece of the Velvet Meadow DSP to 3/4 by 4 inches for the bottom of the inside of the card
- The piece of DSP for the envelope flap measures 6 by 2-1/2 inches
- Don’t forget to punch a 1-inch circle from coordinating DSP and run it through the XYRON create-a-sticker for the envelope seal
What I Did:
- Unless otherwise noted, I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere pieces together
- Adhere the embossed white cardstock to the front of the card
- Adhere the DSP to the Peaceful Pine cardstock, then adhere to the embossed white cardstock
- Rub down the cropped banner with the embossing buddy, then stamp the sentiment from the Phrases & Frames stamp set using VersaMark ink
- Cover the ink with white embossing powder and heat set it with the heat tool
- Add two pieces of tear & tape to the back of the banner and adhere a piece of Cloud Cover ribbon to the back of the sentiment banner
- Then add dimensionals to the back of the banner making sure to straddle the ribbon, and adhere to the front of the card
- Using another sentiment from Phrases & Frames, stamp it on the white cardstock in Peaceful Pine ink
- Adhere the DSP strip to the bottom of the white cardstock, then adhere to the inside of the card
- Finally, add three of the white flowers from the Velvet Meadow Suite to the front of the card
With that, I’d finished this CAS and coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
