Welcome back to the bi-weekly Cardz 4 Galz challenge #273. Our host for this edition of our bi-weekly challenge, Caz, chose Spring Flowers for the theme. When you finish here, please visit the challenge site to see what the rest of the design team members created. Then, don’t forget to upload your creations to our gallery. We look forward to seeing your creations there!
I used the Sunflower 3D embossing folder for my card:

I originally used only Strawberry Slush and white for this card. At the very last minute, I added some Garden Green on the leaves, but am not sure now if I needed to do that.
Measurements:
- The Strawberry Slush base measures 11 by 4-1/4 inches, scored at 5-1//2 inches
- The white cardstock mat measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches and I cropped the sentiment square from the middle of that mat
- I also need apiece of white cardstock for the inside of the card and it measures 4 by 5-1/4 inches
- After dry-embossing a piece of Strawberry Slush cardstock with the Sunflowers 3D embossing folder, I trimmed it to 4 by 5-1/2 inches
- I trimmed apiece of Strawberry Slush 6×6 inch DSP (designer series paper) to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap
- Then, I punched a 1-inch circle of coordinating DSP and ran it through my XYRON create-a-sticker to create the envelope seal
What I Did:
- Unless otherwise noted, I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere pieces together
- I used blending brushes to add white craft ink to the flowers and leaves on the embossed side of the Strawberry Slush cardstock
- Then, I used a blending brush and Strawberry Slush ink to add color and dimension to the center of each flower
- I used a daubing sponge and Garden Green ink to add color to the leaves
- I stamped the inside and outside sentiment in Strawberry Slush ink
- Since I already had the sentiment square cropped, I just need to crop a square mat using as scrap piece of Strawberry Slush cardstock
- I adhered the embossed cardstock to the white mat
- Then, I added a length of Strawberry Slush ribbon and tied it in the front in a square knot
- I adhered the sentiment to the mat and added dimensionals to the back making sure they straddled the ribbon
- After adhering the sentiment squares, I adhered the front layers to the outside of the card
- Finally, I adhered the white cardstock to the inside of the card
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
