Melania, our host for the Sparkles Christmas Challenge, chose Elves or Gnomes for the theme. I used the pretty much leftover pieces for my elf card.
Here’s my card:
I had the white dry embossed cardstock piece, which I matted on Cherry Cobbler. Amazingly, I didn’t have to trim the embossed cardstock to make it work for this card.
I have 5 or 6 of the elf pieces from a retired stamp set. I sold the stamp set, but stamped and colored these elves and the post so I could use these cuties when needed.
This piece of the plaid background has been in my scraps of Cherry Cobbler for an unknown period of time. I stamped the plaid on white cardstock using Basic Gray. Then, I used a ruler to add the Cherry Cobbler cross lines.
The Cherry Cobbler ribbon, also retired, was from the end of the spool.
All in all, leftovers and retired pieces worked together to create this simple elf card.
