Welcome to the November, 2024 SU! Demos Fun Fold Blog Hop! Each month, a group of demos share fun fold cards for a blog hop. I always learn something new and thoroughly enjoy seeing the creations of the other demos. We hope that you will use the line-up below to hop along with us.

For the November Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop, I posted an easy fun fold, but everything else about the card was very detailed. You can see that card here. I’m using the same fold with Nature’s Sweetness DSP (designer series paper) and the coordinating Lovely & Sweet stamp set and dies. I did find out that I really don’t have any stamp sets dedicated to a wedding or anniversary, so I needed to use a combination of current and retired stamp sets for this card.

Here’s my card:

Please, please, please don’t let all the pieces of this card scare you off. Truly, if you can trim and score paper, you have all the skills necessary to make this card! For the November Pals’ Hop, I used a tutorial from Creating with Kristina, which you can find here. This fold is so easy-peasy that I didn’t need a template to create this wedding card after doing the first card. Truly, please try it!

Measurements:

  • The Pebbled Path base measures 8-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches
  • The DSP patterns on the front are actually the front and reverse of one piece of DSP, which I trimmed to 4 by 5-1/4 inches
  • Then, I trimmed the DSP into two pieces, the first measures 3/4 inches wide and the second measures 3-1/4 inches wide
  • The gold and Pebbled Path DSP on the inside measures 5-3/8 by 11 inches, scored at 2-3/4, 5-1/2, and 8-1/4 inches
  • Trim another piece of DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap
    • HINT: I’ve found that if I don’t adhere this DSP to the envelope flap and trim it immediately I tend to put this piece away with the rest of the stack of DSP
  • Punch a 1-inch circle from a coordinating piece of DSP and run it through your XYRON create-a-sticker to make the envelope seal
  • I used three pieces of white cardstock trimmed to 5-3/8 by 4-1/8 inches
  • The piece of white cardstock on the back measures 4 by 3 inches
  • You will need a piece of white cardstock measuring 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches for all the additional sentiment stamping
    • HINT: I have a stash of scraps for each color, and they come in very handy when stamping smaller sentiment panels for cards
  • I also used a piece of 4-1/4 by 5-1/2 inch piece of Pebbled Path cardstock for the heat embossed floral spray on the front
  • I had a scrap piece of Pebbled Path large enough to crop the banner mat for the front of the card

Stamping, Embossing, & Cropping:

  • All the sentiments were stamped in VersaMark ink on white cardstock
  • Then, I covered each with gold embossing powder and heat set the pieces
  • The outside sentiment comes from the Iconic Imagery stamp set and was cropped using a die from the Iconic Imagery set
  • The two inside images were cropped directly from the Nature’s Sweetness DSP using the Lovely & Sweet dies and I absolutely love when that option is available
  • The Pebbled Path floral spray on the front was stamped in VersaMark ink using one of the Lovely & Sweet stamps
  • Then, I covered it in white embossing powder and heat set it
  • After the embossing powder cooled down, I cropped it using the coordinating die

Assembly:

  • I used a Pebbled Path marker to outline the two DSP pieces on the front of the card
  • Next, I outlined the white cardstock pieces using a gold Wink of Stella pen
  • Unless otherwise noted, I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere pieces together
  • Before you adhere the folded strip of DSP to the inside of the card, adhere the pieces on the four folded pieces
  • Adhere the white cardstock pieces to the front and inside of the base
  • Adhere the front DSP and the floral spray to the front of the card
  • Adhere the sentiment layer to the Pebbled Path mat and add dimensionals to the underside to adhere it to the front of the card
  • Next, adhere the inside W-fold DSP to the card
  • Finally, add the sentiment panel with space for a handwritten note to the back of the card
  • With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set
