Welcome back to the bi-weekly Cardz 4 Galz challenge # 221. Our host, Lynda, picked Spring Flowers with Punches or Dies for the theme. When you finish here, please visit the challenge site to see what the rest of the very talented design team members created. Then, don’t forget to upload your creations to our gallery. We look forward to seeing your creations there!

I needed two of the same card, just different colors. Here are my cards:

I used Highland Heather for the first card and Starry Sky for the second. The dimensions and assembly are the same for both.

Measurements:

  • The base of each card measures 8-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches.
  • Next, I trimmed a piece of 6 x 6 inch DSP (designer series paper) to4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches.
  • I also trimmed a piece of each DSP to 6 x 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap. I punched 1-inch circles and used the flip side pattern for the envelope seals. Then, I ran those 2 circles through my XYRON create-a-sticker to finish the seal.
  • The white cardstock on the inside of each card measures 4 by 5-1/4 inches.
  • I used the Color and Contour stamp set and coordinating dies for the flowers. I stamped each on white cardstock using Momento Tuxedo Black ink. These flowers are two-steps, so then I stamped the floral color images.
  • Stamp the sentiment in black ink and crop using a banner die from the Stylish Shapes die set.
  • The colored cardstock and the white cardstock layers were cropped using the Scalloped Contour die set.
  • I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere the pieces of the card, except as noted below.
  • Adhere the DSP to the base.
  • Next, adhere the two scalloped layers together and wrap a piece of silver & white sheer ribbon around those two pieces, then tie it in a bow.
  • The ribbon is thin enough to use liquid glue to adhere it to the DSP.
  • Add dimensionals to the cropped floral pieces and adhere to the front of the cards.
  • Adhere the floral spray so that it fits under the ribbon.
  • Add dimensionals to the far right side of the sentiment banner and liquid glue on the left side. Adhere to the card.
  • With that, I’d finished these coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal sets.
  • Thank you for stopping by today!

New Online Exclusives are now available!

I’ve already ordered some of these products and have more on the way. I can’t wait to start playing with them! Take a look at just some of the new products available!

I love the script used for these sentiments. I’ve used the birthday one, and it fits so well on a landscape 5-1/2 by 4-1/4 inch card!  You can see that card here.

The stamps for these adorable critters are two -stamps: the outline image is on one side and the animal is on the other. The sample card uses the animal stamp.

The Drizzling Droplets stamp and the Latte Love suite arrived yesterday, and I’ve already got a sketch challenge in mind for the Latte Love products.  I’ll be playing with this tomorrow.

This suite would be suitable for masculine or feminine cards, and I can’t wait to get my creative mojo flowing with the whole suite.
