Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is Home for the Holidays. We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I first thought I wanted to make a double z-fold card, but using the whole cabin on the front would’ve been difficult. I just made a little adjustment, and came up with this idea.

Here’s my Home for the Holidays fun fold card:

Measurements:

  • The Boho Blue base measures 8-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches. Score at 2-1/8 and 4-1/4 inches.
  • You will need another piece of Boho Blue measuring 4-1/4 by 5-1/2 inches.
  • Trim the 6 x 6 inch One Horse Open Sleigh DSP (designer series paper) to 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches.
  • I used the 1-7/8 by 5-3/8 inch piece with two trees for the right side of the inside. I trimmed another piece to the same measurements for the left-hand side as well.
  • The white cardstock for the inside measures 5-3/8 by 4-1/8 inches.
  • Trim a piece of coordinating DSP to 6 inches by2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap.
  • Finally, I punched a 1-inch circle from a coordinating piece of DSP for the envelope seal. To create the seal, run your 1-inch circle through a XYRON create-a-sticker.
  • That’s it for the measurements.

Putting the Card Together:

  • Burnish all folds using a bone folder.
  • After wiping the front of the cabin piece of DSP with your embossing buddy, stamp the sentiment in VersaMark ink.
  • Cover the sentiment with white embossing powder and heat set with your heat tool.
  • Both the inside and outside sentiments come from the Brightest Glow stamp set. I used Misty Moonlight ink to stamp the inside sentiment.
  • I wanted to keep this card as clean and simple as possible. Therefore, I didn’t use any dimensionals. Instead, I adhered everything using multipurpose liquid glue.
  • Adhere the cabin DSP to the separate piece of Boho Blue cardstock.
  • Then, add liquid glue to the front flap of the basic z-fold card and adhere the cabin DSP/cardstock piece to the front fold.
  • Adhere one of the 1-7/8 by 5-3/8 piece of trees DSP to the left inside of the card.
  • Adhere the second piece of trees DSP to the right side of the white cardstock Adhere the cardstock to the inside of the card.
  • Finally, don’t tell the recipient how basic the card really is.
  • With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
