Global Design Project and CAS on Friday # 154
Under the wire yet again for GDP#182, but I have time for CAS. I completed this card earlier today, but needed to do lesson plans before I could do a blog post. So, here I am on Sunday night, again, trying to get this card submitted.
I just love this bundle and I am praying it carries over into the new catalog in June. Fingers are really crossed for this! I started, and completed, a completely different card – different DSP, stamps, vellum, whole different card.
Somehow, and I have no clue how, I stumbled on the CAS on Friday challenge for a clean and simple baby card. I needed a baby card, I really liked the GDP sketch, and I love this stamp set.
Here are the challenge links:
Here’s my card:
The GDP inspiration is evident, at least I hope so. My focal point is larger than the challenge, but the sentiment is under that adorable kangaroo and koala bear. Have I said how much I love this Animal Expedition suite?!! You can just see the giraffe and frog on the front of the envelope, and I did the same thing on the inside of the card.
I really think the sentiment, Welcome Little One, fits the kangaroo and koala perfectly. I really took a chance on stamping these three stamps without the use of my Stamp-a-ma-Jig or Stamparatus, but I did. Quite happily, it all worked out perfectly. I doubt I would be able to get it all lined up again, though. I used dimensions to pop up the sentiment on the Pretty Label Punch, and the kangaroo above it.
While I used Stamping Blends to color the kangaroo and koala, I knew they would bleed through the envelope and inside of the card. Therefore, I used Stamping Write Markers for those adorable elements.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a Peachy Day!
