It’s a Magical Day
The Occasions catalog is a plethora of have-to-have products, of which the Magical Day bundle is one! Between the very colorful DSP and the stamp set/die set bundle, the magical possibilities are endless. The sentiments, “Have a Magical Day” and “You are One of a Kind” can be used for birthday, all occassion, congratulations, and thank you cards. I’m really hoping that this bundle carries over into the new annual catalog.
Here’s my card for this challenge:
Paper Players 382 sketch
There are many times when I have a difficult time cutting into DSP I love. I have to almost force myself to not hoard all of the paper, especially when the patterns on the Myths and Magic DSP are so varied and perfectly coordinated. When I do cut it, I then have a very difficult time covering it up on a card. This card was no different. Love the paper, and very difficult to cover it up.
For this card, I used a variety of patterns of this special DSP, but really had to plan out exactly what I wanted to show on the final card. While working on this card, I found myself gravitating towards the dark Fresh Fig color, I realized I needed something to lighten it up. That’s when I decided to use the scales pattern in Lemon Lime Twist and Old Olive for the back horizontal banner.
More possibilities for Magical Day
Now that I have taken the plunge with this DSP, it will be easier the next time. Look for more to come!

Have a Peachy day!
Live in the U.S.? I’d be honored to have you shop with me through the demo locator option on stampinup.com.
I so agree with you about making that first cut in paper you love. We’re strange creatures aren’t we? We buy gorgeous paper then don’t want to use it! You’ve made a lovely job of the sketch, with the special paper and super sentiment. Thanks for joining us at The Paper Players this week.
I’m pleased that you did cut into this fabulous paper – I love it. Fabulous take on the sketch and so glad you joined us at the Paper Players this week
