Welcome back to the monthly Stampin’ UP! Demonstrators Fun Fold Blog Hop. If you love fun folds, you’ve come to a hop filled with really great projects by some very talented fellow demonstrators. When you finish here, I hope you will hop along with the rest of the demos using the links below.
It’s just a given that fun fold cards also post to the Creative Creases Challenge. Debbie Mageed at Secret Stamper coordinates both this hop and the challenge. Hopefully, you will be inspired to upload your own fun fold project to the challenge!
Here’s my card:
I was inspired by Debbie’s September Fun Fold Blog Hop card, which you can see here, and the post includes the measurements. I used her measurements to create my card. Debbie’s card used 1/4 inch margins on the mats, which I followed to a T. I’ll be creating another card using 1/8 inch margins on the mats and DSP. I also followed the directions on Patty Bennett’s of Patty Stamps video for putting the card together, Patty’s didn’t use mats on her card. They are both gorgeous!
I used the Floral Charm DSP (designer series paper), along with Basic Beige, Night of Navy, and Timid Tiger cardstock, with just a bit of Mossy Meadow scraps.
Measurements:
I created a template for my next trifold hidden flap card which will have narrower margins.
Here are the two pieces of this template:
These templates have a lot going on on each piece. To make it a bit clearer for me, I boxed off the cardstock and DSP measurements for each piece.
I did trim off just 1/16 of an inch for the piece that folds inward at the end to make it lay flatter.
Having Debbie’s measurements allowed me to trim all the pieces I needed before I went to Patty’s video. This prep work made the whole card come together relatively easily.
I also trimmed a piece of DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap.
Then, I punched a 1-inch circle and ran it through my XYRON create-a-sticker for the envelope seal.
I already have the cardstock colors and DSP picked for the next card and can’t wait to put it together!
Once I saw her do it, I realized that this card looks so much more complicated than I originally thought
Following Debbie’s lead, I did add some Charming Day stamped/cropped pieces to the last inside flap instead of using another piece of DSP
I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere all the pieces together
Since the DSP print looks water-colored, I wanted the flower and leaves on the die cuts to come out very soft
I struggled with different techniques to color the pieces and finally landed on using Q-tips and the stamp pads to do the coloring
I didn’t add any jewels or ribbon because the card is already so bulky
This card will be bulky even if leaving off the cardstock mats, so make sure you add extra postage
This card is really worth all the trimming to be able to make it over and over again because it just consists of trimming and scoring
Back to the SU! Demo Fun Fold Blog Hop:
We all hope you will follow the links below and hop along with us. There’s so much inspiration to be found here. We’d love to see what inspires you to create a fun fold as well. Don’t forget to upload it to the Creative Creases challenge!
If you get lost along the way, you can always come back here to find the next demo in line.
Welcome back to the bi-weekly Cardz 4 Galz challenge.Billie A, our host for this #258 challenge, chose Stitching, Real or Faux for the theme. Since I am obsessed with all things fun fold I was so pleased to create a card with new products. When you finish here, please visit the challenge site to see what the rest of the very talented design team members created. Then, don’t forget to upload your creations to our gallery. We look forward to seeing your creations there!
Today is my last physical therapy session after my knee replacement surgery. I’ve had two absolutely wonderful therapists and am actually going to miss going, as strange as that sounds.
This is my thank you card for one of the therapists:
The faux stitching is on both layers of the sentiment on the front and around the panel on the back of the card. There’s real stitching along the sides of the Basic Beige ribbon. Real Stitching – check. Faux stitching – check. Theme met – check.
I’ve already posted cards using this same fold, and you can see them here and here.
I originally found this card on the Wandering Stamper’s YouTube channel. You can see that tutorial here.
As always with a fun fold card, I will be adding this to the Creative Creases Challenge where the theme is always Anything Goes with a Fun Fold.
Measurements:
Of course, I had to make a template for this fun fold, which you can see below:
Hints:
I find it much easier to watch a video than trying to follow written directions, so I highly recommend you watch the Wandering Stamper’s video after you use the above template to trim your papers
Another thing I find that works for me is to trim all my papers before starting anything else on the card
Once all the pieces are trimmed, I can add the DSP (designer series paper) to the envelope flap and put all the pieces in the envelope until I can finish it
Since this card will be hand-delivered, I didn’t need to worry too much about the bulkiness of the card
If you do need to mail the card, you very well might have to use extra postage even without using any dimensionals., ribbon, or enamel dots
The September – December 2025 Mini-Catalog is now available!
As a demonstrator, I was able to pre-order some of these items. Take a look at the products I’ve already purchased:

Here’s my Mediterranean Blooms DSP (designer series paper) card:
Here’s the AHSC sketch as a reminder:
Measurements:
The Early Espresso base measures 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 to form a tent
Trim a piece of Daffodil Delight to 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches for the mat
Each of the three strips of DSP measure 1-1/4 by 5-1/4 inches
The DSP strip on the bottom of the inside measures 3/4 by 5-1/4 inches
Trim a piece of DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap
Punch a 1-inch circle of the second DSP pattern and run it through the XYRON create-a-sticker for the envelope seal
Trim a piece of white cardstock to 4 by 5-1/4 inches for the inside of the card
I used scraps of white cardstock for the sentiment banner
The ribbon underneath the sentiment measures 4 inches long
Putting the Card Together:
Unless otherwise noted, multipurpose liquid glue
Stamp the sentiment for the front of the card in Early Espresso ink and crop using a Stylish Shapes die
Stamp the inside sentiment in Early Espresso ink
Outline the three DSP pieces for the front and the sentiment banner using the brush end of an Early Espresso Stamping Write Marker
Adhere the strips of the DSP to the Daffodil Delight cardstock to the base of the card
Adhere the piece of ribbon to the front of the card using glue dots
Add dimensionals to the back of the sentiment banner and attach to the front of the card
Adhere the DSP strip to the bottom of the white cardstock for the inside of the card
Adhere the white cardstock to the inside of the card
As an afterthought, I decided to add three of the Citrus Blooms opals to the sentiment on the front
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.

We look forward to seeing your creations there!
Here’s my card:
I’m also going to be entering this card in the gallery for the Try a Sketch on Tuesday #665 (#TSOT665). Here’s the challenge sketch:
Due to family circumstances this weekend, this post is going to be short and (hopefully) sweet!
Mediterranean Blooms Product Suite:
All the DSP (designer series paper) comes from the Mediterranean Blooms DSP
Thankfully, the die cut orange blooms can be cropped directly from the DSP, so no coloring is involved
The Daffodil Delight spray on the side is also from the coordinating die set
I cropped the Cajun Craze background rectangle using a deckled rectangle die
The sentiment banner comes from the Greetings of the Season die set, which I absolutely love and will not be parting with it any time soon
Both the inside and outside sentiments come from the Charming Sentiments stamp set, and I stamped both in Cajun Craze
The background of the front of the card was embossed using the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder
I used dimensionals to adhere the orange blossom spray and the front sentiment to the card
My favorite adhesive, the Tombow multipurpose liquid glue, was used to adhere all the other pieces
I added the opals dot from the product suite to cover the tiny hole in the front sentiment banner
I added two more opals on the Cajun Craze brackground to form a triangle, which is the most pleasing for balance and movement
While it may look complicated, since I didn’t have to color anything, it really wasn’t, but we won’t tell anyone that
Welcome back to the bi-weekly Cardz 4 Galz challenge # 233. Our host, Debbie, chose Hip to be Square for the theme. I used some bold DSP layered onto an embossed black cardstock background.
When you finish here, please visit the challenge site to see what the rest of the very talented design team members created. Then, don’t forget to upload your creations to our gallery. We look forward to seeing your creations there!
Here’s my Hip to be Square card:
Measurements:
The Poppy Parade base measures 5-1/2 by 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4 inches
After dry embossing a piece of black cardstock using the distressed brick folder, trim the cardstock to 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches
HINT: If you trim the cardstock before dry embossing it, especially with a 3D folder, your desired final measurements will be off
Using the Stylish Shapes dies, crop two 2-1/4 inch squares and one 2-3/4 inch squares of DSP (designer series paper)
I used a Poppy Parade square of 6 x 6 inch DSP and a Pool Party and flowered piece of Sunny Days DSP (retired)
Trim another piece of the Pool Party DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap
Punch a 1-inch circle of the flowered DSP and run it through your XYRON create-a-sticker to make the envelope seal
Trim a piece of white cardstock to 4 by 5-1/4 inches for the inside of the card
I used a piece of scrap white cardstock for the sentiment
Stamping & Assembly:
Unless otherwise noted, I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere the pieces together
After dry-fitting the placement for your cropped squares, adhere them to the black embossed cardstock
Wrap a piece of Poppy parade ribbon around the black cardstock and tie it in a square knot
Adhere the black cardstock to the card base
Using the Biggest Wish stamp set (retired but loved), stamp the block THANKS in Pool Party on the scrap of white cardstock
Use Poppy Parade ink to stamp the script thanks sentiment
Trim the sentiment cardstock ends to create a chevron tag and add dimensionals on the back of it
Make sure your dimensionals will straddle the ribbon
Adhere the sentiment to the card
So far, the inside of this card just has a blank piece of white cardstock temporarily held in place with a strip of removable tape
Once I decide to whom I will be sending this card, and for what reason, I will choose an appropriate sentiment for the inside
With that, I’d finished this easy-peasy coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set
