Welcome to the bi-weekly Cardz 4 Galz challenge # 207. Our host for this time, Caz, chose leaves as the theme, which has a plethora of options. When you finish here, I invite you to visit the challenge site to see the projects from the rest of the design team members. We’d love to have you play along and upload your leaves project to the gallery.
Here’s my fern leaves card:
Measurements:
The Night of Navy card base measures 11 by 4-1/4 inches, scored at 5-1/2 inches.
After embossing the white cardstock with the ferns 3D embossing folder, I trimmed it to 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches.
Trim another piece of white cardstock to 4 by 5-1/4 inches for the inside panel.
The Sun Prints DSP (designer series paper) measures 4-3/4 by 3-1/2 inches.
Trim a coordinating piece of DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap. At the same time, punch a 1-inch circle of DSP for the envelope seal. Run the seal through your XYRON create-a-sticker.
I used a piece of scrap Night of Navy for the sentiment on the front.
What I Did:
Adhere the embossed white cardstock to the base using multipurpose liquid glue.
Adhere the front DSP to the embossed white cardstock with liquid glue.
Use your embossing buddy on the scrap piece of Night of Navy cardstock.
Stamp the sentiment from the Charming Sentiments stamp set using VersaMark ink.
Cover the ink with white embossing powder and heat set with your heat tool.
Crop the sentiment using the corresponding Sentiment Silhouette die.
Add dimensionals under the sentiment and adhere to the front of the card.
Randomly add three gold butterflies to the front surrounding the sentiment.
Using the Nature Prints stamp set, stamp the fern leaves in the bottom, right-hand corner of the white cardstock. In order to achieve the trio of leaves, stamp the first time, then pivot the stamp for the second leaf and pivot again for the third leaf. (If you are a fan of Friends, you know what made me smile about “pivot”,)
Adhere the white cardstock to the inside of the card.
I also stamped this trio on the bottom, left-hand corner on the front of the envelope.
With that, I’d finished this quick coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Have a Peachy day!

Welcome to the Cardz 4 Guyz #330 bi-weekly challenge. Our host for this challenge, Billie A., chose poppies or remembrance for the challenge theme. Memorial Day in the U.S. is the last Monday in May. However, I’ve been to the Arlington National Cemetery a few times just outside of Washington D.C., and every day there is Memorial Day. When you finish here, I hope you will visit the challenge site to see the creations from the rest of the design team members. We’d all love to see your individual creations in the gallery, so I hope you join us for this challenge.
Here’s my poppies/remembrance card:
While the DSP (designer series paper) is retired, I did add some current products on this card. I’ve always loved the colors and designs of this DSP and am so thankful that I have saved it. I was lucky enough to find this card panel already started, and I just needed to add the base, baker’s twine, and sentiment. It doesn’t get any easier.
What I Did:
The Old Olive base measures 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches.
The DSP is mounted on a piece of Calypso Coral measuring 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches.
I already had the strip of vertically lined DSP adhered to the front of the card. Therefore, I just had to wrap some black baker’s twine around the DSP/Calypso Coral front three times and tie it in a bow.
Because of the baker’s twine, I needed to add dimensionals to the front and adhered it to the base.
After rubbing down a scrap of Calypso Coral with my embossing buddy, I stamped the sentiment using VersaMark ink.
Then, I covered the sentiment in white embossing powder and heat set it.
I cropped the sentiment using the Sentiment Silhouette coordinating die.
In addition, I cropped the banner in Mossy Meadow using one of the Stylish Shapes dies. The sentiment is adhered directly onto the banner. There are dimensionals under the banner.
I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 5-1/4 by 4 inches for the inside of the card. As soon as I know for which occasion I will be using this card, I’ll stamp the sentiment.
Then, I trimmed another pattern from the Poppies DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap. I trimmed another piece to 1/2 by 4 inches for the bottom of the white cardstock on the inside.
Finally, I punched a coordinating piece of DSP for the envelope seal and ran it through my XYRON createasticker.
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
The new mini catalog goes live on Wednesday, 09/06/2023. Come back on Wednesday to see two cards I made for the TSOT 620 challenge using one of the suites in the new mini-catalog! This gorgeous fall suite of products was one of my two top items on my pre-order.
There’s also going to be a release of ONLINE EXCLUSIVE DSP! I’m especially thrilled with the Tartan DSP! You can see previews below:
