Outdoor Sports for Make My Monday

Welcome to another Make My Monday challenge!  For this two week challenge, Caz chose the theme of outdoor sports.  I hope you will pop over to the challenge blog and check out all the other projects by the design team members.

Here’s my card:

Penguins sliding down hills counts as outdoor sports, right?  I think so!

For this card, I used the Playful Penguins bundle now available in the mini-catalog.  Aren’t they adorable?  I also used a piece of the penguins DSP from the recent Sale-a-bration catalog for the background.  I cropped the DSP (designer series paper) and the Soft Seafoam border using the diaroma die set.  The white cardstock also got a bit of texture by way of the Subtles 3D embossing folder.  I cropped the curved “snow” drifts using the Curvy Christmas die set.  To finish the whole thing off, I add some of the current sequins and a piece of the shimmery ribbon.

I know this isn’t my normal type of blog post. However, I am in northern California visiting my daughter and I forgot to do this blog post before I left home. So, for now, this is it. The view of a mountain out her back wall of windows is stunning! Since it’s dark, the lights from the homes built on the mountainside are beautiful! Florida is so FLAT, and humid. There’s foothills, mountains, and no. humidity here. It’s wonderful!

Thanks for stopping by my (very short and uncharacteristic) blog today!

Have a Peachy Day!
