This week another coworker asked if I could make her daughter a stadium wave Fluffiest Friends birthday card. Turns out, her daughter’s favorite color is green. Perfect timing! You can see my previous wave card here.
Here’s my Fluffiest Friends stadium wave card:
Truly, if you can trim and score cardstock, you can create this card!
Once again, I used a video by Stamp with Tami for the directions. I followed her measurements and scoring lines to a T. This card is pretty darn easy and I could do the majority of this card without help, including scoring the base. I also knew the size of the cardstock for the wave mechanism is 8 by 7-3/4 inches and just used her scoring measurements. Then it’s just a matter of trimming on the 8-inch side in 1-inch increments. Tami’s video is easy to follow and she’s very open about this being a new-to-her fold. I am still amazed that she worked out the measurements and directions after watching a video by a Dutch card maker, and she did it without the help of translations.
Minor Changes to Tami’s Video:
While making and adjusting this version of the Stadium Wave Fluffiest Friends birthday card, there are a few changes I made or will make next time.
After coloring and adhering all these adorable Friends, I attached them to the wave mechanism. Then, I realized how ugly the backs of the critters looked. That’s when I cropped another set of critters using the die set. Next, I had to carefully trim as necessary to adhere the white cardstock to the back of the colored critters.
Before and After:
It is necessary to adhere the white cardstock on the inside before adhering the wave mechanism. Thankfully, I remembered this detail in time.
Once again, I used ribbon instead of a belly band to keep the card closed. I have an idea for the next card, and if it works, I’ll update this post with a link to the new card.
This time, I adhered the ribbon before I adhered the white cardstock on the inside. I only had the end of the roll of this faux suede ribbon, so I trimmed it in half and used tear & tape to adhere the ends under the white cardstock.
I used more of the tabs than just the first two critters. The tabs measure 1/4 by 1 inch and raise the critters above the next wave.
This wave card definitely has more of an impact when opened from the backside of the card. Next time, I will make the card so that it opens down, if that makes sense. I’ll be sure to update this post with a link to the new version of the card.
Tami didn’t use dimensionals, and I didn’t either. Even though both of my stadium wave cards will be hand-delivered, there’s already enough bulk. Dimensionals might make it difficult to fit inside a medium white envelope.
I hope you watch Tami’s video and create your own stadium wave card. It’s so much fun to create and looks amazing!
I’ve already ordered some of these products and have more on the way. I can’t wait to start playing with them! Take a look at just some of the new products available!
I love the script used for these sentiments. I’ve used the birthday one, and it fits so well on a landscape 5-1/2 by 4-1/4 inch card!
The stamps for these adorable critters are two sided stamps: the outline image is on one side and the animal is on the other. The sample card uses the animal stamp.
Personally, I think this background stamp is gorgeous! Don’t delay in ordering as it just came back in stock. I’ve got an order on its way to me, but this stamp might just be worth paying shipping for just this item.
I had previously ordered the natural polka dot ribbon, and now have the rest of the suite of products on the way. This suite would be suitable to masculine or feminine cards, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it!

Welcome to my second post for March 1, 2024. In case you missed it, my design team member card for the monthly Sparkles Christmas Challenge went live at 04:00 ET and you can find that card here.
For this post, I am honored to be the guest designer for the Creative Creases Challenge #77. As always, the theme of this challenge is Anything Goes with a Fun Fold. I needed a birthday card and decided to make a stadium wave card using the Fluffiest Friends stamp set and coordinating dies. All the critters in this set are so, so, so cute, but I absolutely fell in love with the little bird and now have this cute little guy stuck in my head and he will be featured on a card in the near future.
Here’s my Fluffiest Friends stadium wave card:
The magic of this card happens when it is first opened because it looks like it would take so much time and work. However, it took me much longer to stamp, color, and crop then it did to create the inside mechanism. So absolutely stinking cute!
I used a video by Stamp with Tami for the directions. I followed her measurements and scoring lines to a T. Her video is easy to follow and she’s very open about this being a new-to-her fold. I’m amazed that she worked out the measurements and directions after watching a video by a Dutch card maker, and she did it without the help of translations.
A Few Tips:
After making my first wave mechanism in white cardstock, I found that there’s a reason Tami used the same color cardstock as the card base. The mechanism attaches to the base, not the white cardstock inside pieces. This looks much better when the colors are the same.
I found that after scoring the 8 by 7-3/4 inch cardstock for the mechanism, it seemed easier to use my bone folder to burnish all the score lines before trimming down to 1-inch strips.
Tami used a belly-band to keep the card closed. I wanted to have the front decorations on the card and not a belly-band. However, deciding to do so before adhering the white cardstock and the mechanism to the inside of the card. However, I think I solved the problem using tear & tape to secure the ribbon on the back and then added this cute little bunny and cardstock piece.
Tami trimmed little tabs to help the first two critters (for me, daisies for her). Next time, I am going to make them just a bit longer than 1/2 inch. I’ll probably use them on the bottom two as well.
The possibilities for this card are endless, and I am adding it to my favorite fun fold rotation. As with most new-to-me fun folds, you’ll probably be seeing a few of these stadium cards in the coming months.
Please visit Tami’s YouTube video and create a stadium wave card for one of your loved ones. Don’t forget to upload it to the gallery at the Creative Creases Challenge! As a challenge top winner, you could get to be a guest designer as well!

Here are my two challenge Valentines:
I made these Valentine’s Day cards for my kindergarten great niece and my pre-k3 great nephew. I made 14 of the bear card and 18 of the bumblebee Flirty Flamingo card. They were so much fun to make! I’m really looking forward to getting pictures of the two of them writing out the cards.
When I am mass-producing cards, I get all my pieces done first, then color, stamp, and assemble. I used the Bee Mine suite of products and the Fluffiest Friends stamp and die set.
Flirty Flamingo Bumblebee:
The Flirty Flamingo base measures 3-1/4 by 5 inches.
The DSP measures 3-1/8 by 4-7/8 inches.
I used the dark Flirty Flamingo blend to color the Black & White Gingham Ribbon. Easy peasy.
I punched out the Flirty Flamingo sentiment panel using the Heartfelt Hexagon punch..
Stamp the dotted line for the flying bee using Momento Tuxedo Black ink.
I punched a piece of black cardstock using the bee punch so I would have a template for stamping.
For stamping the body of the bee I used Daffodil Delight and black, the antenna pieces, and then stamped the wings using Flirty Flamingo ink.
Then I punched the pieces and used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere them to the DSP.
Bee Mine:
The layers are Daffodil Delight, black, and white cardstock. I used three consecutive deckled rectangle dies to crop the layers.
The strip of DSP at the bottom is one of the patterns from the Bee Mine 12 x 12″ DSP. I added a thin piece of retired washi tape to the top of the DSP.
The Fluffiest Friends bear is colored using the blends combo sets for Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight, and Sweet Sorbet.
I punched the hearts using the Bee Mine punch from another Bee Mine pattern.
The bee mine sentiment fit perfectly in the retired classic label punch.
The adorable trios of bees randomly stamped on the white cardstock using black ink and colored the bees using a Daffodil Delight marker.
All the pieces are adhered using multipurpose liquid glue.

Welcome to the October Stampin’ UP! Demonstrators Fun Fold Blog Hop! We hope our projects will inspire you to create a fun fold card that you can upload to the gallery in the Creative Creases challenge. I just love learning and creating new fun folds. For the most part, if you can trim paper and score it according to the directions, you can create a fun fold. When you finish here, we hope you will hop along with us using the Blog Hop line-up below.
One of my go-to demonstrators for fun folds is JanB from England. I found a card she demonstrated on YouTube two years ago and thought it would be perfect for a wedding card and a birthday card I needed. Click here for the link to her video.
Here’s the most current card using this fun fold. I haven’t decided who will be getting this card, or for what occasion, so it looks incomplete.
Here’s a video showing the birthday card I already created using this fun fold
Here’s the wedding card, and the video is the one I sent to my friend who ordered it. The video is a bit out of focus, but you get the idea. I can’t go back and redo it because the wedding has passed.
Measurements for the Basic Black and Crushed Curry Card:
Trim a piece of black cardstock to 10-1/4 by 5-1/2 inches, and score at 4-1/4 and 8-1/2 inches.
Trim a second piece of black cardstock to 7-1/2 by 4-1/2 inches, and score at 3, 3-1/2, 4, and 7 inches.
Trim 3 pieces of white cardstock to 5-1/4 by 4 inches.
You need another 2 pieces trimmed to 4-1/2 by 2-3/4 inches.
Trim 3 pieces of white cardstock to 3-5/8 by 2-1/4 inches. *You only need two of these is you are going to have a little pocket for a gift card, like I did.
The other white cardstock pieces you will need measure 1-1/2 by 5-1/4 inches and4-3/8 by 1-1/2 inches,
I used the Crushed Curry dotted DSP (designer series paper) to trim 3 pieces to 5-1/8 by 3-7/8 inches.
I used the Balmy Blue 6 x 6 inch DSP and trimmed 3 pieces to 3-15/16 by 2-5/8 inches.
I needed another piece of Balmy Blue DSP measuring 5-1./4 by 1-3/8 inches.
I need scraps of black and Crush Curry cardstock for the branch and beehive on the front.
I used scraps of Parakeet Party 6 x 6 inch DSP for the leaves.
Then, I used a scrap of Parakeet Party cardstock for the grass under the rabbit.
Assembly:
The first time I created this fun fold, which was the birthday card, I followed JanB’s video step-by-step for the directions.
Once I got all the pieces cut for the wedding card, I followed her directions step-by-step for the folding pop-up part of the card.
The third time I made this card using the Fluffiest Friends bundle, I was able to do it on my own.
Truly, if you can trim and score paper, and follow JanB’s video, you will be able to create one of these cards as well.
Stamping, Coloring, and Cropping:
The Fluffiest Friends bundle will be available as an online exclusive on November 6, 2023. One of the perks of being a demonstrator is having the ability to pre-order new products. Of course, another perk is the discount on products.
I stamped all the Friends using Momento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock.
I used blends to color just parts of the Friends because I wanted a black and white animals so I wouldn’t have to worry about getting the colors of the animals to go with the DSP colors and patterns.
I used the Daffodil Delight, Petal Pink, Balmy Blue, Parakeet Party, and natural tone blends combos to color the selected parts of the Friends and accessories.
The cherry on the cupcake which is being held by the rabbit, is colored with the dark Flirty Flamingo blend.
HINT: I didn’t add any extra embellishments or ribbon because the card is already bulky. It will fit in a medium envelope, but won’t if you add all those extras. This card will require extra postage to mail.
I’m so stinking happy that the die set includes a die for the beaver’s dam and grass pieces. There are so many other dies in the set as well.
Here’s a peek at the bundle, most of which is included in my card:
Back to the SU! Demos Blog Hop:

Welcome to Just Peachy Stamping! I’m using a brand new online exclusive stamp set and die bundle that will go live to customers on November 6, 2023. Stampin’ UP! demonstrators are able to pre-order, and that’s exactly what I did as soon as I saw this set.
Here’s my Fluffiest Friends card:
How stinking cute is that cat?!?! He’s just one of FIVE stinking cute critters in this new set, and I can not wait to use the rest of them!
For this card, I combined the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday # 628 and Thing 1 and Thing 3 for the Double Trouble Challenge # 150. The Thing 1 challenge is to use florals, but no patterned paper. I am hoping that means no floral patterned paper. The inside of the card has florals but no patterned paper, so that counts, right?
Here are the challenge banners:
If this sketch looks familiar, I used it for a card I posted last week. You can see that card here
Since I am entering the Double Trouble challenge, and have insects on my card, I can also post to The Crafters’ Cafe. One day I will figure out how to get the following two images to show up next to each other in a blog post.
Measurements:
The Starry Sky base measures 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches.
The white cardstock mat measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches. I did crop the deckled focal circle from the mat, and no one will ever know. I outlined the deckled circle using a Starry Sky marker.
I also trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 4 by 5-1/4 inches for the inside of the card.
Trim a piece of the Parakeet Party 6 x 6 inch DSP (designer series paper) to 5-1/4 by 4 inches.
Punch a 1-inch circle for the envelope seal from the Parakeet Party DSP. Run it through a XYRON create-a-sticker to create the seal.
The Starry Sky 6 x 6 inch DSP measures 1-1/4 by 5-1/4 inches.
Trim another piece of the Starry Sky DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap.
The yellow DSP (Soft Saffron, which is retired, but any yellow will work) is trimmed to 2-7/8 by 4-1/4 inches. I outlined the yellow DSP using a Starry Sky marker to help it pop off the bright green.
I used scraps for the cat and the sentiment panel.
Stamping, Coloring, & Assembly:
After stamping the cat using Momento Tuxedo Black ink, I colored him using the Smoky Slate blends combo.
I used light the Polished Pink blend for his ears and nose.
After coloring the cat, I used a black Stamping Write marker to outline his facial features.
I stamped the little bees and flowers (on both the outside and the inside) using Tuxedo Black ink.
Since I didn’t want anything to bleed, I used Parakeet Party and Starry Sky Stamping Write markers to color the flowers. The center of the flowers and the bees are Daffodil Delight.
The three DSP pieces are adhered to the white cardstock mat using multipurpose liquid glue, as is the white cardstock circle.
Next, I wrapped some Parakeet Party bakers’ twine around the white mat of the card five times. The ends are adhered in the back using tear & tape.
After adding dimensionals to the back of the cat, I adhered that in the center of deckled circle mat.
Then, I used my embossing buddy to wipe down the scrap of Starry Sky cardstock. Using VersaMark ink, I stamped the sentiment from the Irresistible Blooms stamp set.
Cover the VersaMark with white embossing powder and heat set uning your heat tool.
Next, crop the sentiment using a banner die from the Stylish Shapes die set.
Add dimensionals to the back of the sentiment so that it straddles the bakers’ tiwne, and adhere it to the front of the card.
The inside sentiment comes from the In Your Words stamp set. I used Starry Sky ink for the sentiment.
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
I really love how the gray cat pops off the rest of the bright colors. I’m definitely using this color combination again!
If you live in the U.S. and don’t already have a Stampin’ UP! demo from whom you order, I would be honored to work with you.
