Here’s my easy-peasy card:

The star of this card is the die-cut sentiment from the Wanted to Say die set.

Easy-Peasy Feel Better Soon Card:

  • The Poppy Parade base measures 4-1/4 by 11 inches, scored at 5-1/2 inches.
  • Trim a piece of white cardstock to 5-1/4 by 4 inches for the inside of the card.
  • The kraft paper cardstock mat measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches. I cropped the back part of the sentiment from the center of this mat. Then, I added dimensionals under that kraft cardstock mat.
  • After I ran a piece of navy cardstock through my Cut & Emboss machine using one of the online exculsive basics embossing mats, I trimmed the cardstock to 4 by 5-1/4 inches.
  • HINT: Don’t trim the cardstock until you use the embossing folder. Trimming the cardstock first will result in a smaller than the measurements you wanted.
  • Adhere the navy cardstock to the kraft cardstock using multipurpose liquid glue.
  • Wrap a piece of the white-dotted burlap ribbon around both the cardstock layers and secure the ends in the back using tear and tape. Because it’s burlap, you might need to add a glue dot to the tear-&-tape.
  • Adhere the layers to the base of the card using the dimensionals.
  • Adhere the layers of the sentiment together using liquid glue, and add dimensionals on the back side.
  • Adhere the sentiment to the front of the card using dimensionals.
  • Add an odd number of dots to the front of the card. Odd numbers in triangle patterns are pleasing to the eye and help move the eyes across the card.
  • With that, this easy-peasy card is complete.
