I am trying to get the 20 Thanksgiving cards done so I am not working on them the week of Thanksgiving. I need cards for single guys, and this card is one of them.
Here’s my card:
This hidden flap fun fold is absolutely perfect for the 6 x 6 inch DSP (designer series paper) packs. For this one, I trimmed off 3/4 of an inch at the top, then cut the DSP in half. I’ve already made and posted a couple of these cards, and you can see them here, here, and here, .Come back on Thursday for another one for Cardz 4 Galz.
I keep thinking what other 12 x 12 DSP I can cut down to 6 x 6 inch squares for this fun fold. It’s becoming one of my favorite fun folds.
I still can’t find the directions for this card, and am sorry I haven’t given credit to the designer. If you recognize the fold, please let me know so I can go back and update my posts giving credit where credit is due.
Measurements:
They say that a picture is worth 1,ooo words. I have three pictures of the template I use to create this simple but stunning fun fold card:
The two DSP pieces measure 5-1/4 by 3 inches
The Crushed Curry mats each measure 5-3/8 by 3-1/8 inches
After running a piece of Crushed Curry through the Cut & Emboss machine using the falling leaves embossing folder, I trimmed it to 1-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches
I trimmed a piece of Crushed Curry DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap
Then, i punched a 1-inch circle out of coordinating DSP and ran it through the XYRON create-a-sticker to create the envelope seal
Easy Assembly:
The only dimensionals I used adheres the outside flap to the base
I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere all the pieces and layers together since it already is bulky
The sentiment is from a retired stamp set, but is cropped using dies from the Stylish Shapes die set
Easy-peasy
Thank you for stopping by today!
Have a Peachy Day!

Welcome back to the bi-weekly Cardz 4 Galz challenge # 233. Our host, Debbie, chose Hip to be Square for the theme. I used some bold DSP layered onto an embossed black cardstock background.
When you finish here, please visit the challenge site to see what the rest of the very talented design team members created. Then, don’t forget to upload your creations to our gallery. We look forward to seeing your creations there!
Here’s my Hip to be Square card:
Measurements:
The Poppy Parade base measures 5-1/2 by 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4 inches
After dry embossing a piece of black cardstock using the distressed brick folder, trim the cardstock to 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches
HINT: If you trim the cardstock before dry embossing it, especially with a 3D folder, your desired final measurements will be off
Using the Stylish Shapes dies, crop two 2-1/4 inch squares and one 2-3/4 inch squares of DSP (designer series paper)
I used a Poppy Parade square of 6 x 6 inch DSP and a Pool Party and flowered piece of Sunny Days DSP (retired)
Trim another piece of the Pool Party DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap
Punch a 1-inch circle of the flowered DSP and run it through your XYRON create-a-sticker to make the envelope seal
Trim a piece of white cardstock to 4 by 5-1/4 inches for the inside of the card
I used a piece of scrap white cardstock for the sentiment
Stamping & Assembly:
Unless otherwise noted, I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere the pieces together
After dry-fitting the placement for your cropped squares, adhere them to the black embossed cardstock
Wrap a piece of Poppy parade ribbon around the black cardstock and tie it in a square knot
Adhere the black cardstock to the card base
Using the Biggest Wish stamp set (retired but loved), stamp the block THANKS in Pool Party on the scrap of white cardstock
Use Poppy Parade ink to stamp the script thanks sentiment
Trim the sentiment cardstock ends to create a chevron tag and add dimensionals on the back of it
Make sure your dimensionals will straddle the ribbon
Adhere the sentiment to the card
So far, the inside of this card just has a blank piece of white cardstock temporarily held in place with a strip of removable tape
Once I decide to whom I will be sending this card, and for what reason, I will choose an appropriate sentiment for the inside
With that, I’d finished this easy-peasy coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set
I’m always excited for the mini catty releases because of the holiday products.
Since I am on the design team for a sister challenge, the monthly Sparkles Christmas Challenge, I already have some of the cards I will need. However, I heard new holiday products calling my name and couldn’t resist!
While you can click on the link above, here’s a listing of the new products as well. Please click on the individual pictures to see the products in a larger size picture.

Welcome back to the bi-weekly Cardz 4 Galz challenge # 229. Our host, Johanna, picked Shades of Blue for the theme. When you finish here, please visit the challenge site to see what the rest of the very talented design team members created. Then, don’t forget to upload your creations to our gallery. We look forward to seeing your creations there!
The DSP (designer series paper) I used is retired, as is the stamp set, Kinda Eclectic. When I was sorting out my retired DSP 6 x 6 inches pieces, I found this DSP, which I loved when it came out. Happily, the Misty Moonlight and Mossy Meadow colors in the DSP are current. Also, I am trying to sell my retired products and came across this stamp set. I thought the leaves would match the DSP, so winner, winner. The sentiment on the inside is also from a retired stamp set, Good Feelings, and the set is a keeper.
Here’s my Shades of Blue z-fold card:
Z-folds make such an impact with just one more score line in the card base.
Measurements:
You’ll need the following pieces for this card:
1 piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock measuring 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches, scored at 2-2-1/8 and 4-1/4 inches
1 piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock for the flap measuring 3-1/2 by 4-1/8 inches
2 pieces of the background DSP measuring 2 by 5-3/8 inches and 4-1/4 by 5-3/8 inches
2 pieces of coordinating DSP measuring 2 by 5-3/8 inches and 3-3/8 by 4 inches for the mat on the flap
2 pieces of white cardstock for the sentiment panels measuring 3-7/8 by 3-1/4 inches and 3-3/8 inches by 4 inches for the inside panel
Since I stamped the envelope flap to match the leaves and dots on the card, I only needed to punch a 1-inch circle of DSP and run it through my XYRON create-a-sticker for the envelope seal.
Stamping:
I didn’t add dimensionals to anything on this card since it already has a number of layers on it. Therefore, I used multipurpose liquid glue for all the pieces.
Stamp the sentiments using Misty Moonlight ink on the front and inside white cardstock panels
Next, stamp the leaves on each piece in Mossy Meadow on both pieces as well
Add the dotted stamp on the bottom of each white cardstock piece using Misty Moonlight ink
While you have the Mossy Meadow and Misty Moonlight ink pads out, stamp one leaf cluster in the bottom corner of the front of the envelope
Also randomly stamp leaf clusters and the dots on the envelope flap
HINT: Use Post-it notes to mask off the front of the envelope so that you can stamp off the top of the flap without going onto the front of the envelope
Assembly:
Adhere your primary DSP to the front and inside of the card
Layer the second DSP pattern on the Misty Moonlight flap, then adhere the front sentiment panel
Adhere the second DSP pattern piece to the inside left-hand side of the card (optional but I like to do it so it finishes all parts of the card)
Figure out where you want your outside sentiment panel to live. Adhere liquid glue only to the part of the Misty Moonlight cardstock that will be adhered to the DSP flap
The absolute only “tricky” part is adhering the inside white cardstock. (I forgot to take pictures while I was making the card so I had to recreate the steps to take the following pictures.) The easiest way to do it is to open your card as shown below:
Add mutlipurpose liquid glue to the underside of the sentiment panel
The sentiment on the inside is already adhered because I forgot to take pictures. Your sentiment panel should be face down with the liquid glue on the back of said panel
Line up the inside sentiment panel with the back of the outside sentiment panel so that the glue is showing, as shown below:
Fold the back of the card over the upside down back making sure that the inside panel stays in place
If you used multipurpose liquid glue, you have a bit of time to adjust the inside panel if needed
When I finished, I thought the front needed a little something, so I added 3 bronze butterflies, which are current
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal.

Here’s my dog card:
For my card, I used the Doggone Friendly background stamp. I could’ve colored in some, or all, of the dogs, but I wanted a card using Basic Black, Basic White, and Cherry Cobbler.
An Easy-Peasy Card:
Unless otherwise noted, I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere the pieces of the card together.
The Cherry Cobbler base measures 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches.
The black cardstock mat measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches.
After stamping the background stamp using Momento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock, I trimmed it to 4 by 5-1/4 inches.
HINT: Since this stamp is large, it is easier to put the stamp face-side up on a large block. After inking up the stamp well, very carefully lay the white cardstock on top of the inked stamp. Rub the back of the cardstock to ensure that the full stamp transferred ink.
I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to the same dimensions for the inside of the card.
Next, I cropped out a piece of the dog stamp using a deckled rectangle die.
Using the next larger size of die, crop a piece of Cherry Cobbler for the mat.
Adhere the dog stamped background to the black cardstock mat, then to the card base.
Adhere the cropped out part of the stamp to the cropped Cherry Cobbler mat.
Wrap a length of black baker’s twine around the cropped part three times. Adhere the ends on the back using tear-&-tape.
Add dimensionals to the back of the cropped Cherry Cobbler piece and adhere to the front of the card. Be careful to line up the stamped image parts so the double stamp matches.
Stamp the sentiment, from Charming Sentiments stamp set using Cherry Cobbler ink on white cardstock.
Crop the sentiment using the appropriate die from the coordinating Sentiment Silhouettes die set. I outlined the cropped sentiment with a black Stamping Write Marker.
Use liquid glue and dimensionals to adhere the sentimentl.

I’ve already ordered some of these products and have more on the way. I can’t wait to start playing with them! Take a look at just some of the new products available!
I love the script used for these sentiments. I’ve used the birthday one, and it fits so well on a landscape 5-1/2 by 4-1/4 inch card!
The stamps for these adorable critters are two sided stamps: The outline image is on one side and the animal is on the other. The sample card uses the animal stamp.
Personally, I think this background stamp is gorgeous! Don’t delay in ordering as it just came back in stock. I’ve got an order on its way to me, but this stamp might just be worth paying shipping for just this item.
I had previously ordered the natural polka dot ribbon, and now have the rest of the suite of products on the way. This suite would be suitable to masculine or feminine cards, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it!
What’s New? Paper Pumpkin Information!
This exclusive add-on (item 164397) coordinates with the three upcoming kits! Paper Pumpkin subscribers can purchase it beginning 11 March. The add-on is available only while supplies last, so it’s best to shop early! I’ve missed these add-on opportunities, so don’t delay!

Welcome back to the bi-weekly Cardz 4 Galz challenge # 219. Our host, Johanna, picked Seascape for the theme. When you finish here, please visit the challenge site to see what the rest of the very talented design team members created. Then, don’t forget to upload your creations to our gallery. We look forward to seeing your creations there!
I didn’t strictly follow the Seascape theme. Instead, I was inspired by it, and here’s the card I created for challenge #219:
I used the retired 6 x 6 inch By the Bay DSP for this card, along with the deckled rectangles die set and the Sale-a-Bration Heartfelt Hellos stamp set. The finishing touches include the Night of Navy ribbon and three Petal Pink adhesive Milky Dots. The result is this easy-peasy seascape inspired card.
Measurements and More:
The Night of Navy base measures 4-1/4 by 11 inches, scored at 5-1/2 inches to create a tent fold card.
The white cardstock base measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches. The piece for the inside measures 4 by 5-1/4 inches.
After stamping the sentiment from the Heartfelt Hellos in Night of Navy ink, I cropped it from the white cardstock mat using a deckled rectangle die.
Then, I outlined the sentiment panel using a blue marker and added dimensionals underneath it.
The background By the Bay DSP measures 4 by 5-1/4 inches.
Trim a piece of the background DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap.
Punch a 1-inch circle from the focal panel DSP for the envelope seal, and run it through your XYRON create-a-sticker.
Next, I cropped the DSP focal panel using a deckled rectangle die.
Wrap a length of Night of Navy ribbon around the focal DSP and tie it in a bow.
Adhere all the layers of the front of the card using multipurpose liquid glue.
Adhere the sentiment panel with the dimensionals.
Finally, add three Petal Pink milky dots.
I didn’t add a sentiment to the inside yet. The sentiment on the front is an all-occasion sentiment, so I will stamp one in Night of Navy ink when I know the reason for the card.
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
The dragonfly punch is in the current catalog, but I thoroughly enjoyed getting it for free!
My next Sale-a-Bration item will be the set of the new colors markers. I already have that set of markers but I want an extra set of them. Getting them for FREE with a qualifying purchase is a WIN-WIN!
The Sale-a-Bration Jungle Pals dies and stamp set are fabulous! I’ve already posted cards for which I’ve used those items and you can see them here and here. Of course, there are other fabulous items as well!
Shopping in the current mini-catalog is a wonderful way to earn FREE products!
