Here’s my dog card:
For my card, I used the Doggone Friendly background stamp. I could’ve colored in some, or all, of the dogs, but I wanted a card using Basic Black, Basic White, and Cherry Cobbler.
An Easy-Peasy Card:
- Unless otherwise noted, I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere the pieces of the card together.
- The Cherry Cobbler base measures 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches.
- The black cardstock mat measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches.
- After stamping the background stamp using Momento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock, I trimmed it to 4 by 5-1/4 inches.
- HINT: Since this stamp is large, it is easier to put the stamp face-side up on a large block. After inking up the stamp well, very carefully lay the white cardstock on top of the inked stamp. Rub the back of the cardstock to ensure that the full stamp transferred ink.
- I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to the same dimensions for the inside of the card.
- Next, I cropped out a piece of the dog stamp using a deckled rectangle die.
- Using the next larger size of die, crop a piece of Cherry Cobbler for the mat.
- Adhere the dog stamped background to the black cardstock mat, then to the card base.
- Adhere the cropped out part of the stamp to the cropped Cherry Cobbler mat.
- Wrap a length of black baker’s twine around the cropped part three times. Adhere the ends on the back using tear-&-tape.
- Add dimensionals to the back of the cropped Cherry Cobbler piece and adhere to the front of the card. Be careful to line up the stamped image parts so the double stamp matches.
- Stamp the sentiment, from Charming Sentiments stamp set using Cherry Cobbler ink on white cardstock.
- Crop the sentiment using the appropriate die from the coordinating Sentiment Silhouettes die set. I outlined the cropped sentiment with a black Stamping Write Marker.
- Use liquid glue and dimensionals to adhere the sentimentl.
- Ta-da! This easy-peasy card is complete!

I’ve already ordered some of these products and have more on the way. I can’t wait to start playing with them! Take a look at just some of the new products available!
I love the script used for these sentiments. I’ve used the birthday one, and it fits so well on a landscape 5-1/2 by 4-1/4 inch card!
The stamps for these adorable critters are two sided stamps: The outline image is on one side and the animal is on the other. The sample card uses the animal stamp.
Personally, I think this background stamp is gorgeous! Don’t delay in ordering as it just came back in stock. I’ve got an order on its way to me, but this stamp might just be worth paying shipping for just this item.
I had previously ordered the natural polka dot ribbon, and now have the rest of the suite of products on the way. This suite would be suitable to masculine or feminine cards, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it!
