Keeping it CAS for Cardz 4 Galz #190

Welcome to the first Cardz 4 Galz challenge for 2023.  Our host this time, Helen, chose Clean and Simple for the theme.  As always, the variety and creativity of the other design team members inspires me.  When you finish here, I hope you will visit the challenge blog and see what the rest of the team members created!

I don’t know if you could call my card “clean” but it definitely is simple.  I just couldn’t pass up using this gorgeous Sale-a-Bration DSP (designer series paper) for this challenge.  This DSP pattern has quite a bit of open space, and the colors are just fabulous.

Here’s my card:

Measurements and Assembly:

  • The Rich Razzleberry base measures 4-1/4 by 11 inches, scored at 5-1/2 inches to create a tent fold card.
  • I used Crushed Curry for the mat, which measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches. Then, I adhered it to the base using multipurpose liquid glue.
  • The DSP measures 4 inches by 5-1/4 inches. I trimmed another piece to 6 inches by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap.
  • The white cardstock on the inside of the card measures 4 by 5-1/4 inches.
  • In my stash of twine, I found a length of this retired Rich Razzleberry twine. I tied around the DSP and made a bow on the front.
  • I added dimensionals to the back of the DSP and adhered it to the Crushed Curry mat on the base of the card.
  • Using my Stamparatus, I stamped the sentiment, from the Framed Florets stamp set, in Rich Razzleberry on a scrap of white cardstock. This dark color takes a few minutes to dry completely.
  • Since I used the Stamparatus, I could restamp the sentiment using VersaMark. Therefore, I wiped down the cardstock with my embossing buddy, and stamped the sentiment again. Next, I heat set the clear embossing powder using my heat tool.
  • Then, I cropped the sentiment using a circle die from the Stylish Shapes die set. I added dimensionals to the back of the circle and adhered it to the front of the DSP, straddling the twine.
  • After punching a 1 inch circle from coordinating DSP for the envelope seal, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.

Have a Peachy day!
