CAS(E) This Sketch, # 107

I love sketch challenges because they provide the basic layout and I just need to figure out what I want to do with it.  Same is true for CTS#107.  The newest design team member for CTS is my upline, Brian King, and the sketch is a retro one.

Brian’s clean and simple sketch rolled around in my head and all at once I decided to use Wood Textures and True Gentlemen DSP packs.  I chose a distressed light wood for the bottom part of the base and topped it with the tie True Gentlemen paper.  Punched out 3 1/2 inch circles for the elements on the sketch, stamped my sentiment using Watercolor Words, and… I was done.  The only part that took a few minutes to figure out was the size of the border and the transition between DSP papers.  I decided to just have a very thin Night of Navy border, and let a very thin line of Night of Navy showing between the DSP.

This clean card came together quickly ~ about 15 minutes start to finish.  Have to love that!
