Here’s my beachy card using the Beach Day stamp and die set:
I took the colors from this retired piece of DSP (designer series paper) and used Lost Lagoon, Gray Granite, Granny Apple Green, and Crumb Cake.
Measurements:
The Granny Apple Green base measures 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches to create a tent fold
Next, the black cardstock measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches
The white front measures 4 by 5-1/4 inches, from which I cropped the center using a Countryside Corners die
I trimmed a second piece of white cardstock using the same measurements for the inside of the card
Since I stamped the envelope flap to match the sand and grass on the front and the inside, I only needed a 1-inch circle of DSP for the envelope flap, which I ran through my XYRON create-a-sticker
I was able to stamp and crop all the beach pieces using the inside of the Coutnryside Corner piece from the front and scraps of white cardstock
Coloring & Assembly:
Unless otherwise noted, I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere pieces together
Adhere the black cardstock to the Granny Apple Green base
Then adhere the DSP to the black cardstock
Outline both the inside and the outside edges of the white Countryside Corners frame using a Lost Lagoon marker
Stamp the sand/seashells along the bottom of the frame using Crumb Cake ink
Stamp grass clumps using Granny Apple Green ink
Adhere the Countryside Corners frame to the DSP
Using Momento Tuxedo Black ink, stamp two surfboards, three birds, and the lifeguard shack on white cardstock
Stamp Granny Apple Green grass clumps on white cardstock
Add Crumb Cake sand/seashells stamps to the bottom of the grass clumps
Use the Beach Day dies to crop all the pieces
Use Lost Lagoon and Granny Apple Green blends combos to color the surfboards
Use the Gray Granite, Crumb Cake, Lost Lagoon, and Granny Apple Green blends combos to color the lifeguard shack
Color the seagulls using the light Gray Granite blend
Adhere the surfboards to the frame and DSP
Add dimensionals to the lifeguard shack, the three birds and the two grass clumps and adhere to the front of the card
Use an embossing buddy to wipe off a scrap piece of white cardstock
Use VersaMark ink to stamp a sentiment from the Beach Day stamp set
Add black embossing powder to the sentiment and heat set with a heat tool
Crop the sentiment using a banner from the Stylish Shapes die set
Add dimensionals to the back of the sentiment and adhere to the front of the card
Since this sentiment can be used for all kinds of occasions, I didn’t stamp an inside sentiment yet
I did stamp a line of the sand/seashells in Crumb Cake along the bottom of the white cardstock for the inside of the card
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set

It’s so easy to get carried away with metallic products, but I wanted to keep this card clean and simple for a masculine birthday card.
Here’s my card:
The Peaceful Moments stamp set, the Golden Honey DSP (designer series paper), and the gold metallic specialty DSP are all retired, but I kept them for a variety of reasons.. The spray under the sentiment comes from the Lovely & Sweet bundle, which is current and one of my favorite bundles!
Measurements:
The Basic Black base measures 8-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches
The Basic White mat measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches
HINT: Crop the inside Countryside Corners piece of white cardstock from the mat piece. No one will see the cropped out piece once the DSP is adhered to the front.
The black and gold DSP measures 4 by 5-1/4 inches
I used the same DSP for the envelope flap, which measures 2-1/2 by 6 inches
After punching a 1-inch circle of the gold DSP, I ran it through my XYRON create-a-sticker to make the envelope seal
Next, the gold specialty DSP measures 1-1/4 by 5 inches
I used leftover pieces of white and black for the spray under the front sentiment and the black sentiment panel
Stamping, Cropping, & Assembly:
Unless otherwise noted, I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere the pieces together
Using your embossing buddy from the Embossing Additions Tool Kit, wipe down the leftover pieces of white and black cardstock. Don’t skip this step because the buddy will wipe off any stray oils or dust from the cardstock so you get a clean image.
Stamp both the sentiment and the floral spray using VersaMark ink
Add black embossing powder to the floral spray. Make sure to flick the back of the cardstock to remove excess powder.
Add gold embossing powder to the black cardstock
Heat set both pieces using your heat tool
Crop the floral spray using the Lovely & Sweet die set
Crop the sentiment using a Countryside Corners die
HINT: I used a gold Wink of Stella pen to outline the sentiment panel so it pops off the black and gold DSP
First, adhere the white cardstock to the base
Next, adhere the black & gold DSP to the white mat
Then, adhere the gold DSP to the left-hand side of the card
Add two pieces of tear & tape to the back of the checked DSP so they line up with the top and bottom of the gold DSP
Wrap a piece of gold trim around the front so it lines up with the end of the gold DSP and adhere to the tear & tape
Adhere the checked DSP to the white cardstock
Add dimensionals under the floral spray and the sentiment and adhere the joined pieces to the front
I used the second largest Countryside Corners die to crop a piece of white cardstock for the inside of the card on which I stamped a birthday sentiment
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set
Welcome back to Just Peachy Stamping! My husband is out-of-town, my dogs are acting like magnets, my sleep schedule is all out of whack, and I stayed up way too late last night. However, that means I had plenty of time to search for different card challenges, and I found the current Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge # 572. Earlier, I’d seen the Paper Craft Crew #565 Challenge, which is to Case the Catty, with a Twist. When I combined them together, this is the card I created.
Here’s my card:
Here are the AHSC and PPC banners that inspired my card:
Measurements:
The AHSC and the January – April 2024 mini-catalog page 40 were my inspirations.
The Pretty Peacock cardstock base measures 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches.
The Nature’s Sweetness DSP background layer measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches.
Then, I trimmed another pattern from the DSP set to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap.
I cropped both octagon focal shapes using the Countryside Corners die.
Before I adhered the background layer, I punched a 1-inch circle through the center of the DSP for the envelope seal. Next, I ran it through my XYRON create-a-sticker machine.
The white cardstock for the inside measures 4 by 5-1/4 inches.
Assembly:
I used the Nature’s Sweetness DSP (designer series paper) which did all the work for me. I paired it with Pretty Peacock cardstock and used the largest and second largest Countryside Corners dies to crop the focal image and mat.
The outside sentiment comes from the soon to be retired Framed Florets stamp set. I cropped it using the second smallest Countryside Corners die and outlined it with my Pretty Peacock marker.
I needed to add some length to the sentiment banner to meet that part of the AHSC sketch. Therefore, I used a banner die from the Stylish Shapes die set, cut it in half, and then adhered it to the back of the sentiment piece.
I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere the cardstock and DSP pieces together. There are dimensionals under the sentiment.
I used the “I made you a card because you’re worth it” sentiment from the Here’s a Card stamp set for the inside. It is stamped in Pretty Peacock.
After stamping the inside sentiment, I adhered the white cardstock to the inside.
With that, I’d finished my coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
Welcome to the newest Make My Monday bi-weekly challenge #222. Our host for this challenge, Dawn, chose Transport as the theme. We look forward to seeing your creations there!
Let me start by saying that one night last week, I went down the rabbit hole of the internet by clicking, then clicking again, and again. Then, I had no way back to the video tutorial for this card, but thankfully I wrote down the dimensions of the inside, smaller card. Therefore, I am dividing the measurements and directions into Part 1 for the outside card, and Part 2 for the inside card.
Part 1 – the basic card
The Lemon Lime Twist base measures 8-1/2 by 5-1/2, scored at 4-1/4 inches.
The Zoo Crew DSP (designer series paper measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches. I also trimmed a piece to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap. Then, I punched a 1-inch circle from the DSP and ran it through my XYRON create-a-sticker backside up for the envelope seal.
Use multipurpose liquid glue to adhere all the front cardstock and DSP pieces together.
Stamp the sentiment on the front using Momento Tuxedo Black ink.
Crop the sentiment using the second smallest Countryside Corners die. Outline the sentiment in Lemon Lime Twist ink.
Using a Countryside Corner die, crop out an opening in the middle (or as close as possible) of the front of the card. Crop another cut using the same die out of scrap cardstock to use in Part 2.
Next, use the same size die and the next larger die to cut out a frame, as pictured below.
Adhere the frame and sentiment to the front of the card.
That’s it for the basic card front.
Part 2 – Masking and coloring the “inside” card:
Trim a piece of white cardstock to 7-3/4 by 5-1/8, scored at 3-7/8.
Use removable tape to temporarily adhere the inner card in place making sure that the fold side is on the right hand side of the card.
Use a pencil and a very light touch to add tick marks showing where the cropped center of the front of the card appears on the inner card.
Remove the inner card so you can work on it without making a mess on the outer card.
Use the negative of the extra cropped die from part 1 as a mask on the inner card by lining up the sides of the mask with the tick marks you lightly drew.
I used Post-It note tape to adhere the mask to the front of the inner card.
Using a blending brush, add layers of color to the front of the inner card using Pool Party ink. When you get the color intensity you want, remove the mask and decorate
Part 2 continued: Decorating
Unless otherwise noted, I used liquid glue to adhere the pieces together when decorating.
The bike riding alligator was cropped from the Zoo Crew DSP using the coordinating dies. I love when the DSP images match up with the coordinating dies.
Add dimensionals to the back of the alligator.
Using the cropped mask again, I stamped the ground in Tuxedo Black ink. This stamp came from the Wildlife Wonder stamp set.
Using the flower stamp and coordinating dies from Fluffiest Friends, I stamped and cropped flowers from a scrap of Petal Pink cardstock.
The bird stamp comes from the Beach Day Bundle.
The cloud die cuts were made using the cloud die from the Zany Zoo dies.
Then, I stamped the sentiment on the inside of the card and added the trio of flowers from Fluffiest Friends stamp set.
Finally, line up your blended ink-masked area so it lines up with the cropped middle of the Lemon Lime Twist/DSP card front. Then adhere the inside card to the back of the base of the card.
With that, I’d finished this Zany Zoo fun fold coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
Welcome to InKing Royalty’s July Blog Hop! We are embracing some (or all) of Stampin’ Up!’s beautiful blues for today’s hop – there are so many great ways to showcase the blues in the current color families! We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Before I do anything else, I need to thank Try Stampin’ – or not – on Tuesday challenge # 614! My card was chosen as one of the Top 3 for # 614. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You can see that card here.
While my newest favorite color combination is Boho Blue and Copper Clay, and I actually made a card using this color combination. Then I decided to do something else.
Here’s my SU! Blue card:
I wound up using Let’s Go Fishing DSP, and that’s what really inspired the whole card. Therefore, I combined the Let’s Go Fishing DSP, with the Countryside Corners die, and the Cheerful Daisies dies.
I’m still so tickled “peach” with my updated logo. Thanks again, Henry Bacon!!
Measurements:
Trim a piece of Night of Navy cardstock to 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches, and score it at 4-1/4 inches.
Trim a piece of white cardstock to 5-1/4 by 4 inches for the inside of the card.
Trim a piece of the Let’s Go Fishing DSP to 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches for the front of the card.
You also need a piece of the DSP trimmed to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap. I punched a 1-inch circle of Night of Navy for the envelope seal.
Stamp your sentiment on a piece of leftover white cardstock. I use.d a sentiment from Cheerful Daisies and stamped it in Night of Navy. I did have to mask each half using a Post-it Note.
Put a Post-it Note on “MY DAY”.
Add Night of Navy ink to the stamp.
IMPORTANT: Remove the Post-it Note before stamping!
Stamp the first half of the sentiment.
IMPORTANT: Clean your stamp. Don’t ask me how I know.
Use the same Post-it-Note and cover “YOU MADE”.
Add ink to the stamp.
IMPORTANT: Remove the Post-it Note before stamping!
This set is photopolymer so adding the rest of the sentiment was pretty basic.
Crop the sentiment, and set of daisies and a leaf from white cardstock.
Crop another set of daisies and the leaf, as well as the branches, from Boho Blue.
Crop the Countryside Corner die from Night of Navy cardstock. Adhere to the DSP using multipurpose liquid glue.
Finishing Up:
After cropping the label, I used the Night of Navy marker to accent the stitches on the label.
Next, I used a clear Wink of Stella to cover all of the Boho Blue branches.
Then, I used the Wink of Stella to outline all of the edges of the white daisies and leaf.
Using multipurpose liquid glue, slightly offset your white daisies on top of the Boho Blue daisies.
Add dimensionals under the blue daisies and adhere to the card.
Using glue, adhere the branches so that they slide under the daisies but will also go under the sentiment label.
I added a couple of strips of tear-&-tape to the back of the sentiment label.
Then, I had to play around with the silver thread (a lot!) to find an arrangement that wouldn’t overpower the card. Having the tear-&-tape on the back helps that process.
Add dimensionals to the sentiment label and adhere to the card.
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
