After you’ve created your own themed card, please don’t forget to upload it to our gallery.
Here’s my Real Red ribbon Christmas card:
While I used retired products for this card, I hope you can use the layout to create easy-peasy Christmas cards for yourself. Actually, this layout would be fabulous for so many other occasions for which you need a quick card.
Measurements & Assembly:
Unless otherwise noted, I used multipurpose liquid glue to adhere the pieces together.
The Real Red base measures 8-1/2 by 5-1/2, scored at 4-1/4 to create a tent card.
After you run a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock through your Cut & Emboss machine in the Christmas Tidings 3d embossing folder, trim the cardstock to 4-1/8 by 5-3/4 inches.
The Beary Christmas piece of DSP (designer series paper) measures 2 by 5-3/8 inches.
Trim another piece of DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap.
Punch a 1-inch circle from coordinating DSP and run it through your XYRON create-a-sticker for the envelope seal.
Trim two pieces of Real Red cardstock to 5-3/8 by 1/2 inches to adhere to the back of the DSP so it forms a border.
Wrap a length of Real Red ribbon around the DSP piece and tie it in a bow.
Adhere to the embossed Balmy Blue cardstock.
Stamp your sentiment on white cardstock using Real Red ink.
Crop the sentiment using a square die from the Stylish Shapes die set.
Trim a piece of Real Red cardstock to create a border for the sentiment block.
Adhere the sentiment piece to the red cardstock.
Add dimensionals to the back of the red cardstock so that they will straddle the ribbon, and adhere to the DSP.
Trim a piece of white cardstock to 4 by 5-1/4 inches and stamp your sentiment on it using Real Red ink.
Adhere the white cardstock to the inside of the card.
With that, you’ve finished this easy-peasy coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.

Welcome back to another Cardz 4 Galz bi-weekly challenge! Our host for challenge # 210, Caz, has chosen dogs or puppies for this theme. As always, I am so impressed by the wide variety of projects from the rest of the design team members. I hope you will be inspired by something you see there, and then play along with us!
My card combines retired and current products. I’ve been wanting to use this last bit of retired Christmas DSP (designer series paper), and I combined it with the Christmas Tidings embossing folder from the current mini-catalog.
Here’s my card:
This golden retriever is perfectly encircled with Christmas lights, and the strip of coordinating DSP just emphasizes the lights. I love this DSP combination!
Measurements:
The Cherry Cobbler base measures 8-1/2 by 5-1/2, scored at 4-1/4 inches to create a tent card.
After I embossed another piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock using the Christmas Tidings embossing folder, I trimmed it to 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches.
TIP: Remember to trim your embossed cardstock after you dry emboss it. If you trim it before, you will wind up with a smaller piece of cardstock than you wanted.
The DSP strip along the bottom measures 5-3/8 by 1-1/4 inches.
I used a deckled rectangle die for the focal piece of DSP. It measures 2-5/8 by 3-7/8 inches.
I trimmed a piece of 6 x 6 inch Cherry Cobbler DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap. The reverse side of this paper is white with Cherry Cobbler hearts, so I punched a 1 inch circle to use for the envelope seal. After I ran it through my XYRON create-a-sticker, I had my seal.
The white cardstock on the inside measures 5-1/4 by 4 inches.
Assembly:
Adhere the bottom strip of DSP using multipurpose liquid glue.
Next, I added dimensionals behind the golden DSP and adhered it to the card.
Then, I wrapped a piece of retired Cherry Cobbler and white striped ribbon around the Cherry Cobbled embossed cardstock and tied it in a square knot.
To accommodate the bulk of the ribbon, I did need to add dimensionals under that piece of cardstock.
After using my embossing buddy on a scrap of Cherry Cobbler cardstock, I stamped my sentiment from the Framed and Festive stamp set using VersaMark ink.
Cover the ink with white embossing powder, and heat set with your heat tool.
Crop the sentiment using a banner die from the Stylish Shapes die set.
Add a dimensional to the right side of the banner. Add liquid glue to the left side of the banner.
Adhere the banner to your assembled card front.
I had a couple of dots of stray embossing powder that I missed before using my heat tool. To cover my mistakes, I added 3 Crushed Curry resin stars from the retired Sports Fan suite.
The inside sentiment is stamped in Cherry Cobbler on the white cardstock and adhered with the multipurpose liquid glue.
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
Thank you for stopping by today!
Have a Peachy Day!

I chose to create a Christmas card. Here’s my monochromatic project:
While the card is mainly Boho Blue, with touches of white, there is some sparkle thanks to Wink of Stella.
Measurements:
The Boho Blue base measures 11 by 4-1/4 inches, scored at 5-1/2 inches.
After I embossed another piece of Boho Blue cardstock using the Christmas Tidings embossing folder, I trimmed it to 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches.
The white cardstock for the inside measures 4 by 5-1/4 inches.
I used scrap white cardstock for the sentiment.
Finally, I trimmed a piece of Boho Blue 6 x 6 inch DSP to 6 by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap. I also punched a 1-inch circle for the envelope seal and then ran it through my XYRON create-a-sticker.
That’s it for the measurements.
What I Did:
After trimming the embossed Boho Blue cardstock, I outlined it using Wink of Stella.
Then, I very lightly swiped the Wink of Stella brush over the embossed cardstock. I held the brush parallel to the cardstock so that the swipes would be very light.
Even doing light swipes, I thought that there was too much shine. Therefore, I used Boho Blue ink and a blending brush to add ink over the shiny Wink of Stella. This also made the embossed piece pop off the Boho Blue base.
Since I didn’t have any Boho Blue twine, I took a length of jute and pulled the strands apart.
Then, I wrapped the twine around the embossed cardstock, and added some Elegant Essentials silver thread to the square knot.
I used a sentiment from the _____ set, and stamped it in Boho Blue ink.
I cropped the sentiment using one of the Nested Essentials dies, which can be found in the September – December mini-catalog.
Next, I added dimensionals to the back of the sentiment panel so it would straddle the jute.
Using three In Color Boho Blue enamel dots on the sentiment panel, I was able to hide a couple of small smudges of ink.
I also added dimensionals to the back of the embossed cardstock to allow for the width of the jute.
After stamping the inside sentiment in Boho Blue, I adhered it to base using multipurpose liquid glue.
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
