Here’s my cat card:

Any time I see this cat, I always want to use this sentiment. Can’t you just hear the sarcasm just looking at him?

While I used the Pampered Pets stamps and DSP, the format of this card appears to be more involved than it really is. You can use this layout for any card using any supplies.

I have a challenge for you – I just saw that I made a mistake when putting this card together. Can you find it? You might not see it, but once you do, you can’t unsee it.

Measurements:

Trim Pebbled Path, one of the new In Colors, cardstock to 8-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches, and score at 4-1/4 inches.
Trim a piece of Real Red cardstock to 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches.
Trim two pieces of coordinating DSP to 3-1/2 by 4-1/2 inches.
Trim a piece of DSP to 6 inches by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap.
Punch a 1-inch circle of DSP for the envelope seal and run it through the XYRON create-a-sticker.
Crop a piece of Real Red cardstock using one of the Deckled Rectangle dies. I actually cropped this out of the Real Red background. No one will see the ugly underneath.
Fussy cut the cat.
Trim a piece of white cardstock to 4 by 5-1/4 inches for the inside of the card.

Assembly:

Use multipurpose liquid glue to adhere the Real Red cardstock to the base of the card.
Use liquid glue to adhere the DSP pieces on angles going in opposite directions. I prefer to have the top piece angling to the top right of the card because it draws your eyes across the card.
Use your embossing buddy to wipe down the red cardstock for the front panel.
Stamp the sentiment using Versamark ink.
Cover the sentiment with white embossing powder and heat set it.
Add dimensionals under the cat and adhere him to the top part of the red cardstock.
Tie a tiny bow of Real Red ribbon and adhere to the cat using a glue dot. I was having a real bow-challenged issue with this tiny bow, but it all worked out.
I don’t know what sentiment I am going to use on the inside of the card yet. It will depend on the recipient and the situation. Therefore, I used some of the removable adhesive to hold it in place for the time being.
With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal.
