I used speckled DSP (designer series paper) from the Beauty of the Earth paper and the Gorgeous Leaves cling stamp set for my card.  I kind of think anything that’s faded and speckled qualifies as distressed, don’t you?

Here’s my card:

Measurements:

• The Cajun Craze base measures 4-1/4 by 11 inches, scored at 5-1/2 inches to create a tent fold card.
• I used a piece of the Neutrals 6 x 6 inch DSP for the background mat. It measures 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inches. Then, I punch a one-inch circle of this DSP for the envelope seal.
• Next, I trimmed a piece of the Beauty of the Earth DSP to 4 inches by 5-1/4 inches. I also trimmed a piece of the same DSP to 6 inches by 2-1/2 inches for the envelope flap. I used a small piece of the DSP for the front sentiment. The small panel measures 2-7/8 by 7/8 inches. Both the outside and inside sentiment come from the Best Year stamp set.
• The white cardstock panel on the inside measures 4 by 5-1/4 inches.
• I used scrap white cardstock for the leaves on the outside.
• That’s it for the measurements.

Stamping:

• The DSP really does all the work here, and I wanted to let it shine. Therefore, I kept the elements on the front to a minimum.
• I used a blending brush and Merry Merlot ink to lightly color a piece of scrap white cardstock.
• Next, I used Early Espresso ink and stamped two leaves onto the colored cardstock.
• I topped the leaves using the Cajun Craze ink and the small splotches stamp ink from the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set.
• Again using Early Espresso ink, I stamped the inside sentiment on the white cardstock.
• Then, I used the large splotch stamp and Cajun Craze ink, which I stamped off twice, to stamp over the sentiment. I did this three times, turning the stamp so the pattern would be random.
• Using the coordinating die set, I cropped the leaves. I already had the Early Espresso branches cropped.
• The only two pieces popped up on dimensionals are the top leaf and the sentiment. I attached everything else using my favorite adhesive, the multipurpose liquid glue.
• Finally, I folded a length of linen thread back and forth and tied a knot in the center of the folded thread. Then, I cut the side loops down to size and attached the knot using a couple of glue dots.
• With that, I’d finished this coordinated card, envelope, and envelope seal set.
