Welcome to another theme challenge from the Cardz 4 Guys design team. I love baseball, and know a number of baseball players.

Here’s my baseball card for this challenge:

Here’s a baseball graduation card and a baseball get well card I’d previously made and delivered:

Back to the Challenge Card

This easy-peasy card came together quickly.

  • The black card base measures 4-1/4 inches by 11 inches, scored at 5-1/2 inches to create a tent card.
  • I used Real Red to create the mat, and it measures 4-18 inches by 5-3/8 inches.
  • The white top layer measures 4 inches by 5-1/4 inches.

To create the seam for the baseball, I used a Tri-man compass that I’ve had for years. First, I used the compass to make a pencil arc, then went back over it with the bullet end of a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker. I created the stitch marks using the brush end of a Real Red marker.

Since I wanted this card to be an all occasion card for the time being, I chose a sentiment which will serve a variety of purposes. I can simply stamp the needed sentiment on the inside panel when it’s time to use the card.

After I’d completed my stamping and marker work, I ran the white cardstock through the Subtle embossing folder. I thought this would give some texture to the baseball to make it more realistic. I know, it’s a card, it doesn’t have to be realistic. However, I thought I needed to add the texture.

Finally, I created another baseball on the bottom, left front of the envelope. There’s a piece of Real Red DSP on the envelope flap. After adhering and trimming the DSP, I’d finished this card/envelope combination.

Easy-peasy does it.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

I’d love to hear what you think, and greatly appreciate every comment.

Have a Peachy Day!
