Feels Like Frost DSP is Spectacular!

When I first saw this DSP in the holiday catalog, I thought it was beautiful, so I put it in my first pre-order.  When the UPS truck delivered my order, this DSP was the first thing I opened.  I don’t have enough superlative words to describe this DSP, other than to say it’s one of my most favorite DSP in the 4+ years I have been a demonstrator.  Hands down, one of the top 5 in my 4+ years.

I’ve already created a card for a Color Throwdown challenge and you can see that card here.  This card for Sunday Stamps Challenge is just the second of many Christmas cards for this year.

Here’s the Sunday Stamps Challenge banner:

Here’s the card I created:

The combination of the sketch and the Feels Like Frost DSP is simply stunning, at least I think so.

Clean, Simple, and Beautiful

The DSP does all the work here.  Using the colors from the paper, Night of Navy and Seaside Spray, I was able to create a double-matted card.  I had to do some measuring for the DSP in order to get the right width for the coordinating Seaside Spray metallic ribbon, which is gorgeous as well.  Once I finished the paper and ribbon part, I stamped the sentiment from the retired Watercolor Christmas stamp set.  I then used clear embossing powder on the sentiment, cropped both ovals from the Stitched Shapes die set and layered them.  Stamping dimensionals gave me the pop and height I wanted.

At first, I thought I’d finished this card.  Then I realized I needed some more sparkle, so I grabbed my clear Wink of Stella.  I very carefully used the Wink of Stella on both ovals between the stitched ditch and the outer border.  Last night I thought I’d finished the card, and even took the photos for this blog post. Tonight I decided I needed to add some of the snowflake sequins to the sentiment ovals.  Once I’d finished that, I decided that, since I want a clean and simple card, I’d finished.

As always, adding coordinating DSP to the envelope flap completed this card set.

Easy peasy.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.  A big thanks, in advance, for taking the time to leave a comment.

Have a Peachy Day!
