Have to love when this happens! I has a mental image (kind of) for what I was going to do for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge 003 because I chose the top left to bottom right diagonal: blue, twine, rectangle. Then, a fellow InKing Royalty demonstrator posted her card for the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch 249, and my mental image and this challenge went hand-in-hand. One card, two challenges = winner!
Here’s my card:
#tictactoechallenge, #tttc003 diagonal was blue (check), rectangle (check for the Daisy Delight DSP, and when I decided to use the Brick embossing folder I added another check), and twine (check). Can’t find the twine? Look closely at the center of the flower and you will see the twine. I wanted to keep the card clean while meeting the challenge requirements and I can’t seem to get the hang of the random circles of twine behind card elements. Enter the twine on the center. I love the font on this “thanks” greeting, but didn’t want anything else from the stamp. To solve that problem, I used the Night of Navy marker and colored just the part I wanted. Worked like a charm!
Here’s the challenge board for the #tttc003:
Here’s the sketch for PCC249:
See what I mean about matching up perfectly?
Supplies used: Night of Navy, Whisper White, and Daffodil Delight cardstock, Daisy Delight DSP, Daisy Punch, Brick embossing folder, SU Whisper White twine, Night of Navy ink pad and marker.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a Peachy day!
That daisy really pops against the Night of Navy embossed panel, Sue. Those colors work so well together to create a fresh and bold card. Thanks for playing along with the Tic Tac Toe challenge this week.
Sue, I just LOVE this combination of Night of Navy and Daffodil Delight! What a cheerful combination, the daisy just ‘POPS” off the card base!! I really like how the DSP just peeks out at you, lovely card!! Thanks for playing along with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge this week! XX
Sue, what a clever idea to use the brick embossing folder for the background on this card! It really makes it look so classy! And the font on the sentiment is just perfect! Thank you for sharing your card with us this week at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge!
